We checked in (slow process, aloof staff), went to our room, used the bathroom, and left. Opted not to stay. We didn't ask for a refund because there was a big sign at the desk, "NO REFUNDS," so we figured it wasn't worth the hassle. We felt unsafe. They call it an "Inn and Suites" but I went to their website and there is no "suite" option. They also claim on their Hotels.com booking page that they have 10 restaurants, and 5 bars/lounges. HA! Where? Within a 5-mile radius? What a joke.

DON'T BOOK

Apparently this property changed ownership and was in process or updating.  Had requested ground floor room as traveling with handicapped person but none available.  No elevator.  Bedsheets not very clean, slept on top of sheets.  Check in person very abrupt.  Contents of room just barely minimal and sort of thrown together to make sure basics were there.  Very disappointed.

I checked in late after 3 days of 16 hour shifts.  The last thing I wanted to be asked by the person that checked me in was “why am I checking in so late” and when I first arrived, was told they had no more rooms.

They said that I couldn’t stay there with my kids and then owners wife l was very rude and disrespectful

Horrible and dirty

The hotel was better than i thought given the 2 star ratong i saw. Room was pretty clean, the bed was comfortable and the location was great. I would defintely stay there again for the price.

Not a bad place

I was apprehensive about booking 2 rooms here, but it was close to Hopewell Marina,
where we were supposed to be at 6:00 Friday morning. we were very pleased with the service we received, the cleanliness of the rooms, bed and pillows were very comfortable. very good location, very nice waterfront restaurant The Boathouse just
steps away. Very well-lit parking lot. Any motel is outdated, but the owners do the very best, with what they have. We will stay here again.

pleasently surprized

Well tonight we stayed at this he**  in a hole dirty supposed to be newly renovated inn. The beds where awful I could have went to a homeless camp and got cleaned sheets and mattress and pillow cases there is hair on bathroom walls that was from previous guest the floors are not moped at all beside the toilet on wall there what appears to be crap on wall I left for about a hour come back and the management had been in my room turned off ac and went through my belongings when they had no reason at all to we had to call the cops bc the management attacked me verbally for no reason the cops even said they get calls here all the time bc the management thinks they can do and talk to guest any way they please and treat a guest like garbage i would not recommend anyone stay in this he** hole the management needs to be fired I will never return even if I had no where to go I would rather sleep on a side walk then come back on this property just look at pictures and you will see what I am saying the towel that’s black is just from around the bed on floor

Cops on scene

Worst place to stay! $280.00 a week. For nasty place to lay your head. Better off sleeping in a Tent. Saying under New Management. Same owners, just different Family Members going to run it. Just not a clean place at all!

Very Unclean Roaches, Bed Bugs,

I had a court hearing for my daughter and drove all night and I stopped here and was allowed to check in early without a fee and was very surprised with the room. Very clean , comfortable bed clean and fresh sheets and updated room I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great place for the price ! 

Had the displeasure of making the mistake of staying here overnight. The rooms are dated, dirty and rundown. Don't even get me started about the vagrants that frequent the motel or the constant flow of "customers".

So even if your in dire need and faced with no other options, I'd suggest you still keep looking as this is the motel your mother warned you about..avoid at all costs.
