Chose FMB as we missed our tropical getaways!  There was not a lot of options when we decided to book but we were happy to have found Condo 302 available.  The views and beach are amazing.  The condo itself is in need of a few updates but for the price we expected that.  Very nice grounds and pool.  It is a quiet location within walking distance to a few restarants.  The trolley stops right in front of the building by the library so very convenient and Publix is close by as well.  We saw dolphins and a sea turtle.  

First trip since pandemic

We stayed here for a week and despite the listing stating the condos have security, they do not. Their solution seems to be having their condo members yell at people who pass by (which happens quite a bit, given there is a public beach access running right through the center of the property). The condos themselves are ok (depending on which one you get), but our trip was far from relaxing. Stay away if you want to feel safe or relax.

No Security, Vigilantism Rules

Beautiful condo unit on Ft Myers Beach. Pool area is great for kids and adults. Location perfect- 25 min walk on the beach to time square on ft Myers beach with fun shopping and dining. Trolly runs frequently for 75 cents. Unbelievable beach with perfect sunsets. We highly recommend !!

Family Christmas Caper Beach Club

First trip to Fort Myers beach and we have been to gulf before but never this far south. First day was a huge surprise to see literally no waves and mostly clear water. We were a little disappointed at first but the following days did bring in gentle waves, not enough for boogie boards but perfect for floats. We did not really have another clear water day since the first day but could marginally see into the water. We saw zero jellyfish which was nice because there is usually a ton on the panhandle. Several dolphin sightings and one day of multiple stingray sightings swimming in the waves near the shore. There was abundant living sand dollars. The sand was gorgeous and fine white powder, not hot to walk barefoot on and generally flat easy walking. The landscaping of the beach club was beautiful and made for the view of the beach from our balcony lovely with the palm trees. The pool was well maintained and was cool, refreshing compared to the warm bathtub feel of the ocean.  It also had a real deep end with close to 7 foot deep which was great for swimming! My only complaint is that they close the pool at dusk and we always enjoy going night swimming. They are very strict on this rule. They did have a lot of other rules that I did not find they were too strict on such as “no jumping in the pool” or “no throwing balls or using floats.” Maybe they are stricter on those when the snowbirds are down? The condo we stayed in was great, great size in both bedrooms and 2 baths. The screened in balcony was enjoyed daily. They keep the stairwells and access to the rooms locked and you have a key to get up so felt very safe. You can walk to multiple restaurants and shopping square/pier is only about 1 mile down the road. This beach had an old Florida feel perfect for getting away from the crowds and gets pretty quiet at night. We did not have to fight for beach space and most of the time felt like we had the beach to ourselves. Also this is a very dog friendly beach. Not sure if they allow dogs at this club but many people walking dogs on the beach in the evenings.

Summer beach fun

We have been to Fort Myers Beach many times and love it. Stayed at Caper Beach Club a few times.  This past experience was not as good.  It nice they have security walking the grounds now, I mean it make a person feel safe however the older gentleman who roams the grounds is not very friendly and watches you like a hawk.  Makes one feel every bit uncomfortable. Apparently he must not like his job, then get a different one!! The younger gentleman I believe his name was Matt was a bit more friendly. 
The noise in the mornings is completely annoying. Garbage trucks beeping, making all kinds of noise at 6am.  Landscapers working at 6:30am all day.  One could not even enjoy the quietness of relaxation.  Being woken up that early and then hearing it so loud in your condo was one thing but then to go outside and have it be ten times as loud.  Very NON relaxing!
Other than that, the woman in the office is and always has been extremely pleasant. Most of the people we have met every time we have visited whether it be Caper Beach or another spot, everyone has always been friendly.  We have made many friends.  Every other complex has had extremely friendly staff as well however Caper Beach needs to get rid of the older grumpy man walking the grounds who watches people like a hawk. Very uncomfortable. 
Other than that, Caper Beach is a nice get away and I am sure we will be back at some point.  We will however be sure to bring ear plugs or a white noise machine to drown out the early morning noise and we also hope the grumpy unfriendly man is gone by the time we revisit.

Nice place but noisy

Greatly enjoyed annual 2 week visits at Caper Beach Club for the past 15 years.  Clean comfortable rooms, splendid views of the beach, lots of activities along the beach and at Times Square.  Annual Shrimp Festival and St. Patrick's day parades are a must.  Caper Beach Club has wonderful swimming pool, exclusive beach front and shuffle boards for entertainment.  Also option to use grills for beach front cookouts.  Away from the congestion of spring breakers, but within walking distance for those who wish to partake.

Great Family Beach Experience filled with Many Joyful Options

Trip for a family of five - 15g, 13g, 11b, wife and me.  The property was beautiful.  Our room was a bit dated, but was very clean and spacious.  Wifi worked well.  The pool was a nice size.  Lounge chairs usually available for all.  One security guy could be a bit much with rules regarding the pool.  It was nice to have security roaming the area - but not really needed as it was a safe location.  Grounds were spotless - grills looked new, grass was perfect, and pool was crystal clear.  The beach in front of the resort was beautiful.  The water color in the gulf was brown - not clear at all - due to the release of lake/river water nearby.  It was disappointing for all of Fort Myers Beach this summer.  That did not stop us from going in the water and have a great time.  Fun places near Times Square - short ride.  Many restaurants along the beach street.  Good place - just wish the beach water was clear like Marco Island or St. Pete's.

Beautiful Grounds, Nice Pool, Great Beach, Murky Water

I stayed here with my family including my 2 kids 7 and 10 in June 2016. 

The condo unit we had was roomy , clean and well equipped,  as per the rest .... Never again. 

Rules rules and rules . They should mention before booking that kids are not welcome. Kids couldn't do anything. Nothing !!! Grumpy and rude old people screaming from their balconies telling people what they couldn't do including my kids. A guard walking around the pool making us very uncomfortable. Very unwelcoming . There is a camera facing the pool so they are checking on people all day long .  

They expected kids to just sit and stare at each other . 

Let's just say.... It wasn't the best vacation . 

Beach was clean but ocean not nice this year. Brown and dark. There are nicer beaches in Florida
