Great hotel our host Raj was brilliant, very friendly on arrival and made us feel very welcome. We will be back in the future for sure, very comfy beds and the room was very tidy and clean. Great location and right near Wetherspoon. Parking is a short walk away

Friendly hotel

Overall I'd rate this hotel a 9/10 the only thing letting it down is parking. 

The chap who runs this place couldn't do more to make us comfortable.

Clean comfortable room with plenty of sockets for charging decent TV clean bathroom with a very good shower deep bath and plenty of light and mirrors

Excellent value without feeling cheap. Cleaner couldn't be more helpful.

We wanted somewhere close to shopping centre and this hotel was perfect.  Plus the bonus of a variety of eateries within walking distance & a cinema complex.
We only met one member of staff but the welcome on arrival and his friendliness & helpfulness made our stay even more enjoyable.

Excellent location

After a bad experience with a b&b years ago I've always used premier inn/travel lodge. But they wanted £130+ for 1 night. Settled on terrace lodge for £60, I was really surprised by how nice it was. Granted could use a lick of paint, but the room was clean and tidy and the staff were really friendly. Will avoid other b&bs/hotels still. But terrace lodge will be my first choice when I stay again.

Really good hotel

I always speak as I find and this hotel was booked for me as a surprise from my daughter for my birthday. After reading the reviews I was quite apprehensive, however, on arrival we were checked in very quickly and went to our rooms. We had a family room and my daughter had a small double. Our room was very clean (carpet was dirty, but I’m not sleeping on that!) beds comfy, sheets very clean and crisp, plenty of pillows and a good TV. Could hear traffic noise but wasn’t too bad at actual bedtime, in fact I thought the hotel had a very calm quiet feel to it! All in all it’s not the Hilton but that is reflected in the price...I would definitely stay here again!

Birthday stay! 

Central location and easy to find. Check in efficient and friendly. Luggage carried to my room and special request to be in main building was fulfilled. 

Room was small as expected as I booked a single. A little tired and basic but bedding and towels spotless and fresh. Plentiful hot water, limited toiletries and powerful shower. 

Bathroom floor appeared dirty but on further inspection these were marks in the wood/laminate. Coffee making facilities were helpful. TV was small but worked well and was sufficient for my needs. 

I was pre-warned that a large group would  be checking out in early hours so I used earplugs. Very helpful information which allowed me to take action to avoid disturbances. Curtains were thin so I wore an eye mask. 

I got exactly what I paid for. A clean and comfortable bed to break my long journey from Yorkshire to a work placement. 

Value for money 

I have seen some very harsh reviews on this place but it didn’t put me off booking as I like to make my mind up. So we arrived and the front door window had been smashed and it looks tired and dreary to look at. Had to ring a number to be let in and check in which was a quick process. Had a ground floor room small double and it was absolutely fine!! Comfortable bed, clean and tidy and a clean bathroom.  We were right by the main road but still had a good night sleep even with this. For £44 you really can’t complain and if you want luxury then pay for luxury but it did us perfectly fine! 

You get what you pay for!!!

Firstly this review is 100% genuine and just my opinion.
I have stayed here for a few nights,which was comfortable and my room was no problem although there was no wardrobe for clothes.
The bed was very comfortable and a decent bathroom.
My room was in a courtyard area.
The general appearance of the entrance could be updated .
I did not eat here and no breakfast was available.

Interesting stay.

Well you get what you pay for its clean and tidy basic rooms decent shower and bath though. Just don't stay here is f you want a lay in or are working nights the cleaners are very loud they shout out to each other down the corridors they also allow the doors to slam etc you would thought seeing the do not disturb sign on doors they would show more consideration!!. If it was not for the very very loud cleaners I would given 5 stars!! 

Only stay if you wake up early! 

You pay a budget price and you get a budget hotel, bed is relatively uncomfortable but still got a good nights sleep. You get a little tray of teas and coffee is which is very nice and you have a TV with 32 channels which is also good. The curtains let quite a bit of light in which is a downside and the real downside is that after coming back to my room that my door was unlocked and had obviously been left open by the cleaners. I’ve therefore had to cancel my cards and go through a lot of Faff. Although the receptionist was very apologetic and polite.
