Great service and very accommodating to assist and make our stay as comfortable as possible. My wife is 8 months pregnant so certainly appreciated the kind gesture.
Great views and tucked away but still close to Yeovil.

Great service

Located in a beautiful old building. Beautiful renovation of the establishment. Comfortable rooms. Amazing hospitality. A really brilliant place to stay in the peaceful Somerset countryside outside of Yeovil 

Great place to stay

Has to be one of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed! Donal has to be one of the best managers/hosts I’ve ever come across, literally nothing is too much, Lady Mary served a fabulous home cooked meal the apple pie was to die for! The grounds are amazing. Cannot wait to come back 

Hidden Gem!

Perfect from romantic breaks to a quiet pit stop for the weary traveller. The most beautiful quiet setting, stylish and comfortable rooms and lovely friendly staff. We were proud to put up our family here for our wedding. We adore the Fat Pigeon and Brympton and can’t wait to return again for our next visit. Our happy place <3 

A hidden gem 

Part of the Brympton House estate, so set in very well kept grounds, the Fat Pigeon is a cosy B&B with a relaxed atmosphere.  I stayed in the stable block, which has been converted into comfortable en-suite rooms (good shower!) which was very quiet (though mine was a Monday night stay so they weren't full).  On arrival I was asked if I wanted to stay for dinner, which, as it was raining, I decided to do rather than having to venture out into Yeovil, and was very glad I did.  

The coffee and tea stations were a nice bonus, and the relaxed breakfast sat around a communal table was good.  I guess if I have any criticism it would be the lack of pastries/croissants and real coffee, but it's a minor quibble at what was a very good rate.  

And as others have said, Donal is an excellent host :-)

Great value B&B in an amazing location

With dimly lit rooms, one of which  that only had 2 of the many ceiling spot lights working it was dificult to see your face in the mirror in the bathroom. The 24 hour tea and coffee was closed. There were no cups available to use in the in the other tea area in the hall. It should have a warning sign to state there are steps just inside the reception doors and i counted three different trip hazards in the hallways, no warning signs to indicate a change in level of flooring. The rooms appear to be unfinished with poor quality repairs or just plain shoddy and tacky workmanship. A door had been removed from it hinges and the hinges left in situ at leg and face height. No outside lighting bearing in mind its winter and gets dark early
 The signage in all the grounds is very poor and almost unreadable due to poor condition. Breakfast was served in a large very cold room and was very basic. Looked like it had ben done on a shoestring budget.

A cold and dangerous place. Avoid at all costs.

Absolutely dreadful customer service. Booked 3 rooms for an onsite wedding next year - all personally confirmed with helpful advice- then 11 days later got an automated email saying CANCELLED- no explanation or phone call!!!  
I asked for an explanation and was told our booking conflicted with a wedding booking that they had taken - the wedding we are attending . Obviously a communication breakdown somewhere - not impressed!
