One of the best hotels we've visited!!!! we booked as a last minute getaway for my birthday  it was excellent value for money, food was fantastic and service was 100% and as for the room was one of the most comfortable beds weve stayed in, amazing night sleep felt so refreshed. would recommend to anyone

Loved our stay, bed was comfy, room was lovely and spacious, bathroom was a good size. The staff at the hotel and restaurant were lovely, nothing was a problem and the manager went over and beyond for us, food was fantastic. We will definitely be returning in the future

I have stayed in this hotel several times before but this was the best stay ever over Christmas. U can really see such an improvement since the new manager Trefor has taken over. All the staff are absolutely amazing from Laura the head receptionist and the other exceptional staff Zoe, Snead, Jess, Lorraine, Daniel, Chris & Gary front of house and Carl the kitchen manager. Each and everyone of them so efficient and friendly. We didn't want to leave. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them and Christmas Lunch and Boxing Day dinner were superb. 
 

From the moment we stepped into the Hotel we sensed a "Happy ship". Laura the Receptionist was so welcoming with a wicked sense of humour. Our Room (10) was clean with good quality linen and fluffy towels. The lovely Barman did his "Cocktail" bit - watch out TC and Zoe our waitress was charming.  We were late down for breakfast - but again a lovely guy ran round and sorted us.  The hotel could do with a bit of tlc, but hey all hospitality venues have taken a bit of a hammering and  I am sure it is on Green King's "to do" list as it is such a lovely old building.

The warmest and friendliest welcome from Laura who went above and beyond to ensure we had a really lovely room and a very comfortable stay . Every single member of staff  smiles here and goes out of their way to help.  I can’t praise them all highly enough and am looking forward to returning.

Friendly staff, Town Central, ample parking, you feel like your one of the family, good food and drink, The Kings Head has that old worldly charm about it, large rooms, wide corridors, plenty of space in the Dining Rooms, what more can you ask !!!

Describing itself as home away from home it does exactly what it says on the tin. It has a nice atmosphere and it’s warm and comfortable. The staff are friendly. Okay the lift is not the fastest. The kettle makes strange noises as does the extractor in the bathroom and there was an extraordinary 20 seconds a little while ago with some air in the pipes somewhere desperately and very loudly trying to get out. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. It’s so convenient for the Tivoli about 100 yards away and would we stay here again yes of course.

On our recent visit I was taken ill and the staff went above and beyond to help us.
We would  certainly stay again. A warm friendly hotel.
The hotel is in perfect location for touring the area including the New Forrest.

Great location overlooking the main square in the centre of the lovely town, and a short walk from Wimborne Minster.

The building dates from 1800 and has many historic features, and rooms on three levels emanating from the central staircase, with a lift serving each floor.

A quiet room to the rear ensured a good night's sleep.  Although the warm weather meant having the window constantly open the desk fan that was provided offered sufficient comfort. Space rather limited  in the bathroom.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast and a good choice of menu for meals at affordable prices in the bar or dining room. 

Wimborne is very pleasant to explore on foot or the buses to Bournemouth and Poole stop just outside the hotel.

Shauna, Sam, Karen.   Outstanding members of staff.  Went above and beyond to make my visit/stay memorable.
I have already booked to return next year and seriously considering Xmas too.  
Receptionists friendly and so efficient too.  Just wonderful, all of it.

Best last minute getaway

Myself and my wife have just had a one night stay. We only live 5 miles away but thought it would be nice to stay over after seeing ‘The Small Fakers’ at the Tivoli Theatre. 

The room was very large, lovely comfy super king size bed. Spotlessly clean & very comfortable & relatively quiet. All the staff are very nice. The breakfast was delicious , plentiful, nice selection of continental accompaniments also, pastries, yoghurt, granola etc. 

The only thing preventing me from giving 5 ⭐️ is the temperature. Like a lot of hotels you seem to stay in these days, particularly the larger chains, everywhere is far too hot! Walking down to breakfast just now every communal hallway is far too hot. It’s presently 9 degrees outside, every radiator is set to maximum making everywhere very close & stuffy. I appreciate you can’t please all the people all the time, also appreciate older guests feel the cold, but it’s obvious to anyone that it’s unnecessary to have the heating on all the time. 

Never the less, I would return and I would recommend. A nice hotel in beautiful Wimborne.
