We stayed her for one night to add extra time to our already booked weekend away in Torbay. 

On arrival, parking was brilliant. We parked right outside the hotel. We was greated as soon as we arrived and keys were given to our room. 

We stayed in the family suite as we have three children and always struggle to find a room to accommodate all five of us (usually we have to book two rooms). We were very impressed. The children had their own separate sleeping area with television and then we had our own. We also had a toilet and shower in our room. There was a kettle with tea and coffee also available.We all had a lovely nights sleep. Very cosy. 

In the morning we had breakfast served at 8.30. There was cereal and fruit to choose from and then we had a full English breakfast cooked, which was very tasty.  

It really was a lovely stay, served and greated by very friendly people. Very nice hotel and we were all very pleased :-)

Great Stay With Great Food And Service

The hotel cancelled my confirmed booking through booking.com on the grounds that my credit card details (I submitted a second by request via booking.com) were invalid. On checking to be sure I found both cards perfectly valid with ample credit available on both. Attempted phone calls to the hotel where not answered and finally refused by automatic message. 
   My fear of course is a possible scheme to gain card details with no intention to confirm bookings.

I would be interested to know if others have had this experience.

Booking problem

The owner of the b&b was very friendly and helpful when we arrived and showed us to room 2 on the first floor.    On opening the main door,  it caught on the door of the ensuite. The ensuite doors were slatted louvre doors with a catch to close. Each time we left our room the two doors would catch making it a struggle to get in or out. 

Dave, the owner, runs the guest house predominately on his own and obviously works very hard.   I appreciate the building is old and the owners want to keep the history alive, but I think the bathrooms and toilets need updating. It was unfortunate that the first flush of the toilet when used resulted in the handle breaking.

The guest house is situated  on a hill and within walking distance of the town centre , providing you do not have mobility issues.

Breakfast was served in a basement dining area shared with a small bar, from 8.30-9am
It was cooked well and served promptly.



Property needs updating

Great stay at Sea Point Hotel. David and Kim are great hosts and the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is well situated near the main attractions, restaurants and pubs. Less than 5 minutes walk from the marina. Breakfast is delicious and you are sure to have a laugh while having a few drinks at the bar.

Holiday in Torquay

Usually stay in large hotels but as it was just me and my wife thought we would try something more homely, what a lovely surprise, clean room , comfortable bed , Dave and Kim are great hosts ( not sure about Kim's love of take that ) but overall a great place to stay and hope to see you next year
