Very easy to get into the room, very clean and tidy, extremely comfortable bed, and quiet.Ive stayed twice now to be near to Southampton hospital for appointments, as its only a 5 minute walk, would definitely recommend.

Second stay

We liked the security features of the property which we had no trouble with or understanding. The owner was very helpful.We liked the convenience of getting a bus - No17 - from Southampton railway station direct to virtually outside of the property.We liked being able to walk the short distance to and from Southampton University Hospital with relative ease.It's a very short walk to a Chinese takeaway - very nice food.It's also a very short walk to an Asian supermarket which we found very helpful on our visit.We would definitely use again. Thank you very much.

Pleasant neighbourhood, shop and takeaway close by. Shirley high street 10-15 min walk. Easy instructions from host. Very clean and comfortable. 2 nice shared bathrooms.

Pleasant stay

I used this property because of its proximity to a hospital where I needed to be early in the morning. It was basic but clean and quiet and the owner gave very clear instructions for check in.

Not much to write home about, minimalist, cooking utensils are are very poor

I booked the guest house on 2nd April to stay on the 13th April just for a one night stay due to going on a cruise early the next day. I paid on the same day. I was sent an email by the guest house itself telling me I had to confirm my identity by sending a photo of my passport and let them know what time I would arrive. Which I did. In the email it also said I would be sent the code for the main door and my room at 2pm on the day of arrival. My son took me from Nottingham to Southampton and we arrived at 3pm but I had still not received the code for the door. I phoned several times to ask for the code and got no reply. So my son would not leave me until I gained entry. Eventually someone called Monica sent me a text saying text me. To which I asked for the codes she asked me if I had received a welcome email I told her I hadn’t so she sent me a copy of the email she had sent at the time of booking. All she kept saying was you have had it. She eventually said that I had not sent the copy of my passport I explained that I had and my son sent her a screen shot of it and she sent me the code after being outside of the guest house for 90 minutes. I was furious as my son needed to get back to Nottingham as soon as he could. There was no apology from her just that we had crossed wires. If she hadn’t received it why didn’t she contact me prior to my arrival.

I liked nothing. I was surprised at Expedia having such a place way over priced for this 7 ft by 7 ft area Bed very uncomfortable pillows terrible Never met anyone just instructions   Towels were hard as a rock curtains tornI won’t recommend anyone to stay there even for one night
