Thank you Angela and wayne for lovely stay and nice breakfast.room lovely always stay here whenever we come to isle.its central to bus and train.nothing is too much bother for them.the breakfast are continental  english and vegetarian

Break

Have been coming here regularly for over 10 years. Angela and Wayne are the best hosts - they feel more like friends to be honest.  The rooms are spacious and cosy at the same time. Special mention goes to my REALLY comfortable bed!! I can completely relax, unwind and chill out when I come here. Absolutely  10/10 .

Love this place

What can I add to the other plaudits heaped upon the Roseglen Hotel? Not a lot - other than to underline the warmth, bonhomie and overall good naturedness of Wayne and Angela and to congratulate them on having such a wonderful hotel. I had a ground floor room - which was great - I did the Coastal Path and a climb up any stairs would have hurt! I slept like a log and awoke to a wonderful full English breakfast with all the trimmings. I have no doubt that I will return to Shanklin on another series of walks - but I may just come back to stay at the Roseglen for a nice break. A lovely place and some great local pubs and eateries in the old town.

We booked our holiday to the isle of wight a while ago now and were really looking forward to it. A day before leaving angela (the owner) rang us to make sure everything would be to our liking when we arrived, that set the tone for our stay. We were greeted straight away and not left hanging around which was nice and my 8 year old son loved the bunk beds in our room spending each night on a different bunk! Wayne and angela are very easy to talk to with deep knowledge of local events which helped our day planning. Breakfast was very nice and theres never a problem if you wish to change something on the menu.we often visit the isle of wight and would be more than happy to spend time again here or recommend. A lovely, homely hotel run by fantastic owners that clearly enjoy what they do.

Roseglen hidden gem hotel

I stayed for three days recently to visit family.

However I have stayed at the Roseglen many times, as a single, as a couple, also families and with friends. I am already going back in July with family. 

Angela and Wayne. The owners, they are such lovely people. 

I was offered a double ensuite room to myself, and as always the room was clean, tidy and my bed was very comfortable. The rooms are all a little older in style, but this adds to the charm of the B&B and with each room having tea and coffee available, and a small flat screen TV all is good in my opinion.

I used the lounge quite a lot whilst there, they have very comfy chairs and sofas, free WiFi and a decent TV etc. I did as always feel very comfortable n what I feel is their home... 

I was cooked lovely breakfasts each morning by Wayne, and there was a selection of fruits and cereals as well as juices. I was also brought extra toast and tea.  The dining room is clean, bright and airy. The Roseglen is having some updating and rooms are being decorated, but it remains a clean and friendly place to stay right in the heart of Shanklin.  

There is no allocated parking for the Roseglen, however there is nearby free street parking outside when available.  I have never had trouble finding somewhere to park however it is busier in the summer for obvious reasons.  The train station is a 5/7 min walk away, and buses are right outside. 

Always call or email Angela for the best deals, if brining a car, they can always book your ferry for you at a decent price too.

Treated so well as always... 

Just come back from a fabulous 3 night break with my 9 year old grandson. My grandson comments sums up our stay at this b and b " the bed feels like you are sleeping on marshmallows" "It feels homely here" "Awsome holiday" To sum up our stay I would say the location is excellent, with the beach, town and transport only a very short distance. The hosts were lovely and always greeted my grandson. Also the breakfast was lovely with plenty of choices. Definety we would recommend this hotel to families.

Mini break

A lovely quiet hotel which is run by a lovely friendly couple Wayne and Angela.

The hotel is situated in a perfect location. 2 mins walk from the shops in the town centre or 5 minutes walk to the lift and steps which leads down to the gorgeous sea front.

The rooms have a real homely feel too and are spotlessly clean.

Wayne and Angela cannot do enough for you and I'm not surprised they get so much return business. Children here are welcomed too!

Last but not least, the breakfast here is amazing! Freshly cooked and will come exactly as ordered.

Very reasonably priced too!
