My Wife & I drove to Welshpool from Surrey, for a family funeral, with my Mother in law and sister in law. We needed to check in early as the funeral was at 1.30pm. After speaking to Jackie, the Owner, she confirmed this wasn’t a problem. After arriving, nothing was too much trouble. We stayed for 2 nights and the rooms were comfortable, the lounge area was spacious and welcoming and the breakfasts were fantastic. We will definitely stay again and would recommend Top House to all, for short or long stays. It really was a ‘Home from Home’.

A well cared for property, with spacious rooms. Set in rural surroundings, it is just a few minutes walk from Offa’s Dyke. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. 
The hospitality is friendly, enthusiastic and of the highest order. The quality Breakfast is an abundant one. All in all, a stay here is VERY good value.

From start to finish just incredible warmth, felt like we were visiting family and we knew Jackie years. 
If there was a bench mark for B&b’s this place would be it... don’t take our word for it you have to sample yourself.

The rooms were beautifuly decorated with the finest details accommodating our needs.
It was so clean a comforting and Jackie couldn’t do enough to ensure our stay meet all of our expectations, even down to providing us hand drawn maps.
Breakfast was beautiful with all the little details carefully thought about nothing was any trouble.
The location was perfect with beautiful towns and Powis Castle  a stone throw away.

Jackie had some wonderful farm animals and we had the pleasure of meeting her wonderful baby lambs. 
We didn’t want to come home and will definitely be going back with family to hire the house for self catering.

You will not be disappointed staying here.

had a wounderful warm welcome from Jackie the landlady, offering tea and cake on my arrival. Very tasteful rooms, spotlessly  clean, comfortable with lovely thoughtful touches...one example was having fresh milk in a flask...rather than UHT milk in plastic pots.

Breakfast was freshly cooked to order, with home made (by jackies mum) jams and marmalade.  

Off road parking, cosy sitting area and beautiful countryside and delightful towns and castle only a short drive away.

A delightful B&B all round

As soon as we arrived Jackie the landlady was at the door with a beautiful warm smile. We felt like home so welcoming. The breakfast was delicious. The room was clean and tastefuly decorated.. 
 We will definetly go back.

This B-B is an excellent choice if you are going to Welshpool It was a fabulous place all nicely decorated bedrooms are modern with on suite facilities and the comfort of the beds was excellent .Great breakfast to start your day The landlady Jackie was a lovely lady very bubbly and always ready to help you find your way and recommend places to go and to eat nice log burner in the lounge if it gets cold
