We came upto Liverpool for son’s birthday and watch the match. Unfortunately we had a rubbish result!! Prior to staying the communication from Annie was really helpful. Where to park, what trains to get into the city.  When we arrived we found easy parking in the street opposite.  The exterior of the pub/restaurant/b&b is a little tatty. Don’t let that put you off. We were greeted by Annie and a very warm helpful welcome. The room was huge with 4 single beds, very warm, nicely decorated and modern. Spotlessly clean . There were 2 large bathrooms opposite our room also spotless. Annie had left a bag of celebration chocolates for our sons birthday which was really lovely. The hotel is close to Aintree and we walked back from the stadium which took approx 30 mins and there is a train station 5 mins walk from the B&B to get into the city centre. This is a great location, great value for money and managed by a very lovely caring lady who knows how to treat a customer, which is a rarity these days. We will definitely be back. Thanks Annie

5 fantastic days at the prince alfred brillant stay spotlessly  clean made so wellcome  by anne what a beautiful  lady would highley  recomended   cart wait to go back wouldn't stay any were else now thank u anne for all ur help and kindness donna xxxx

My stay

Outstanding service from Anna, she called to confirm things and was very professional. The rooms were clean and nice. Even though it's a shared bathroom my friends and myself was very sceptical but when we got their the bathrooms were so clean and we had nothing bad to say about the experience

Liverpool weekend

My Mum and I stayed at the Prince Alfred B&B for two nights. We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are comfortable, clean, free Wifi and TV, all the things we needed. The owner of the hotel is very hospitable, helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be visiting again. Great Value for money. Location is great as the hotel is by the gym and train station. Excellent time at the Prince Alfred Hotel

I literally couldn't fault staying here. The room was spotless as were the bathrooms and host was absolutely amazing. I came here to visit my dad and from day one Anne was nothing but amazing. Couldn't meet anyone more welcoming and helpful. She also let me know that there would be a few lads staying one night so I was prepared for a little bit of noise and made sure I was okay. The hotel is literally right by the train station which is perfect for getting around as well.
Definitely recommend and will be using this hotel if possible for any future stays 

Perfect

Anne was very friendly and accommodating, we were slightly late checking in due to extreme traffic delays, however we were able to contact them before hand to say we would be late. Anne made us feel at home and was so warm and welcoming. The rooms were emasculate as was the bathroom. The outside of the building does not do this B&B justice. For those complaining about the lack of breakfast, we were fully aware that no breakfast would be included as it was stated on the website. We stayed for 3 nights and were warned it could potentially get rowdy due to a Liverpool home game however we were not disturbed in the slightest. Anne is a credit to your team, if ever in the area again we would be more than happy to stay again!

Really good value for money

The lady was lovely and friendly and made us feel welcome.

The rooms are very clean, the beds and bedding are comfy.

The toilets/bathroom is down the hall which is a bit of a nusiense but once your there they are great with a bath or shower and everything you need.

We would defintly come back here because of the price, value for money, cleanliness and the friendly people.

Great stay. Most of all coffee, good clean comfey beds and very clean.

2.5/5 if I could. Location wasn't instantly apparent, however not that hard to find. Main concern was the fact that it was run as a B&B however there was no breakfast, which was enforced by the notices around the hotel stating that. This was one of the reasons I picked this accommodation so was quite disappointed. Only stayed for a night but would of liked to shower, however I couldn't because no towels were given. TV didn't work either. Neither did the heater. Was clean and tidy, did the job for staying the night.

Very Mediocre

The facility is actually a dorm-like set up, with rooms along a shabby hallway and some shared bathrooms. Entry is up an alarmingly rusty. beat up stairway in a run down looking area behind a pub/restuarant. All this we could have dealt with, but the pub downstairs, unmentioned in the hotel's description, was in full swing for the Saturday night that we were there. Unfortunately, that meant noise like I have never experienced outside a rock concert. Let me be specific here: I don't mean I could hear the music. I mean the walls were shaking and I could feel the bass line in my chest. The idea of sleep was laughable; I could barely hear myself think. This went on until 1:30 a.m. We had to be up early to reach our next destination on our itinerary; it was a rough night and a difficult morning.

We saw the manager, Anne, as we were leaving in the morning, and she was very pleasant. I don't believe there was anything she could have done about the crazy amount of noise we experienced through the night. The rooms were clean.

Ok for clubhopping--don't try to sleep here.

I booked this for a base before a run, and all was well until said I wanted to leave early the next day (for the run) I was told it was not possible as "we lock up round here" then the most scruffy, aggressive character came from another room to say "We don't want your booking, there's no one here at that time of the morning" 
A disgraceful place and should not be tolerated. My advice don't even consider it. 

Fortunately after speaking direct to Booking.com they agreed that this was not a suitable place and completely refunded me for my night in a local Premier Inn.
