Lovely place to stay, will 100% be coming back. Food was incredible, piping hot and fantastic service. All of the staff were so friendly and made you feel right at home. It’s like a country pub but in a town. 

10/10!! 

We had a lovely stay atThe Griffin, it is in a really good location, it’s warm, welcoming, very clean. The staff were really friendly and the food is very good. We only had breakfast on one day but the service was really good, great choice, and we were served very quickly , I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We had a recent 2 night B&B stay to
Visit relatives. 
Booked direct on line. Easy & no problem ( even for an OAP ) &  got a great price.

Great central location.
 Welcoming check in. 
Nice cosy room (No 1 ) with recently refurbished bath room, spotlessly clean.
Lovely breakfast both morning,s with friendly service.
Unfortunately we did not dine in 
the hotel in the evening as we dinned with relatives but can say that they have  a well stocked bar & very good beer & cider.
So along with friendly staff, what is not too like ?
We hope to Visit again soon.

2 night stay at the Griffin Inn

Bed was very comfortable and staff very polite and helpful, but the door between rooms 5 and 7 bangs at all hours of the night. Walls are thin you can hear next door in the bathroom.  Too hot, but windows lead onto the main street. Leak in the bathroom, but just needs an update. For £75 out of season, I'd expect a little better. 

Comfortable, just needs modernising. 

I wasn’t expecting much to be honest, the room rate was £25 and that included breakfast but I wasn’t too bothered as it was just to be a roof over my head for one night. But was I wrong, a nice room with tea and coffee making facilities and clean modern bathroom. In the morning one of the best cooked breakfasts I’ve ever had, beautifully cooked and piping hot all for an absolutely bargain price. Will certainly be recommending and using again.

Christmas lunch with colleagues in Newquay.

Had a lovely Sunday roast with three meats, six vegetables, two potatoes and selection of sauces. Beef was tender and medium rare. Puddings looked good but was too full. Very friendly and welcoming staff who looked after dog whilst we went to buffet so we could eat together. Enjoyed it so much went back the next night and had tasty homemade fish cakes.

Had a wonderful stay here - super friendly staff, great breakfast and evening meal, and a clean, warm and comfortable room (with a great night's sleep). The 'Pie and a Pint' deal for the evening meal is great. Excellent value for money and would definietly stay again and recommend to friends. Thanks to all the Griffin Inn team! 

A warm welcome, great food, and excellent accomodation!

Lovely clean rooms, very yummy breakfast, but most all the staff are so friendly and helpful. For the price paid it is great value for money. Only slight critisism was the price of drinks, 75p for a splash of Diet Coke having already paid £3.40 for the spirit is a bit high.

Outstanding hotel, staff could not be faulted, food was excellent and well priced loved the carvery good idea to book  , room very comfy  10 out of 10, well placed for the town centre we will be booking again for New Year and possibly for summer

Griffin Inn

Second trip for New Year’s Eve needless to say better than the year before , due to covid in 2021 . Met friends from the year before , makes the experience even better . Staff are brilliant , friendly and professional, nothing too much trouble , things like this help you return for another visit . Food good , beer and lager good . Dog friendly  as well . New Years Eve was very very busy , loads of people coming in for meals , Staff dealt with it all at ease , Pete Steff Polly Sam Nigel were indeed on top form . Sunday carvery was well attended also was delicious ! We’ll be back without a doubt . Rooms clean , cleaned daily , bed comfortable. What more do you need ?
