Orchard Ridge Bed  Breakfast

We stayed here for two nights in December with our 7 month old baby while we attended a wedding. It was quite difficult to find in the dark however what an amazing place!! Belinda was the perfect host and it felt like we were staying with an old friend, so friendly and a lovely family home. Our room was just beautiful with a large en suit with a lovely warm floor and large bath and shower with gorgeous products to use and big fluffy towels. The bed was massive with heated blanket and feather pillows making it hard to get out of especially when there is such a stunning view to admire. But i have to say the best part of our stay was the breakfast!!! i still dream of this breakfast! Freshly squeezed juice, proper coffee, fresh fruit and yoghurt.....and then the cooked breakfast!!! i have no idea how the bacon was cooked but i dream of this bacon most days and it makes me want to drive back!! This place is such a hidden gem in the most beautiful location and i would recommend to anyone!! would be ideal for a romantic get away but was equally perfect with our family Thank you so much for having us

Orchard Ridge is a bit tricky to find.  The small lane leading to it is almost obscured by a garage at the lane end.  We even found it awkward with our sat nav!  Anyway when we arrived we were met at the door by the lady who made us feel very welcome, and sat us down with a cup of tea and a fresh home-made bun.  She then showed us up to our room, which overlooked the farm buildings, lane and the countryside.  It was very nicely appointed  with  furniture in keeping with the house.  The bed was very comfortable too.  The bathroom was down 3 steps (mind your head, tall people!) and it was so clean it absolutely shone.  Underfloor heating too, I think as it felt warm to the feet.  The selection of food for beakfast was outstanding- fruits, cereals, cooked items and of course toast to finish. Delicious. We stayed here for 2 nights and found the area good for easy walking. It's also not far from Hereford.

A Hidden Gem!

Lovely Farm House stay in the quiet Hereford countryside.

Greeted by a very friendly host, even set out tea and home made muffins outside for us (garden crying out to be tended to). Bed linen was lovely but this property cannot be advertised as luxury in any form. Too many old cobwebs, property & garden need good clean. But again, fabulous host

Not a luxury B&B

host not there to greet me was left a young boy who clearly didn't know what he was doing. there was dog mess on path from gate to entrance that was not picked up. dining room was unclean and as the only guest I felt like an inconvienence . my room was not made up and milk had been left uncovered outside bedroom door all day were there was a dog wandering about . the garden was an over grown bed of weeds. I do not believe this property was value for money and would most definitely not recommend it.

We booked to stay here with Booking.com in May for the Malvern Flower Show. Unfortunately after struggling to find the place, we discovered that the owner/host was nowhere to be found and they weren't answering their mobile phone. Other guests that we bumped into outside, who had arrived the day before, advised us that the owner was away and that someone else was going to be providing their breakfast the following morning. Fortunately despite their being very little available accommodation nearby Booking.com were able to re-book us into The Feathers Hotel in Ledbury (see review) and they agreed to pay the difference. This whole experience was very stressful and took about 3 hours to sort out. It appears that the owner/host has done this before. See review from 2014. We would also like to add that when you find the place there is hardly anywhere to park.

Don't Risk it

This is a long story but please bear with me. We are in the UK from Australia. I chose this accommodation because of the reviews. The address is extremely confusing. "Hill End, Rushall, Ledbury" OR "Much Marcle" OR "Putley". Take your pick! We drove for 4 hours from Yorkshire and arrived in Much Marcle, asked at the local pub and also the Post Office if they could direct us to the exact place. No, they didn't know of such a place. Programmed Rushall into the GPS, no luck in Rushall, although a very kind man thought that it may be a farm nearby so he took off in his car and we followed. We arrived at a farm, no luck there, but the owner said it could be another property further along the goat track. We travelled along a goat track and came across a house that looked like it could be the place. We were not sure, as the house didn't have a sign saying "Orchard Ridge" , as one would expect! We attempted to enter the front gate but we're put off by barking dogs. We walked around the rear of the property but didn't want to enter because of the dogs and the place was deserted. As it turns out, we were at the right place - but no one was there! By 4.30, we were back in the nearest town - Ledbury - and I was severely stressed, thinking that I had been scammed out of a considerable amount of money. We were fortunate enough to find a tourist info shop and the kind man there called Orchard Ridge for us, only to get a message! He then called the Oak Inn for us and obtained a room. Unfortunately, they could only give us a room for one night. (Please see my review of the Oak Inn - the place is fantastic). I emailed Orchard Ridge but have not received a reply. I managed to book into another accommodation for the 3 nights that we were supposed to be at Orchard Ridge. The next morning, our host telephoned Orchard Ridge for us. I was able to speak to the owner. She was very abrupt, saying that no one had been at the property because check in is between 4pm and 5pm.  (I later realised we had been there just before 4pm)! And, if I wanted a refund, I should contact Booking.com! So, no specific address, no specific sign at the house, don't turn up even a few minutes before 4pm. Apparently, one of the policies of this place is "no credit cards, only cash" BUT "the property reserves the right to pre authorise credit cards"!! I am not happy and I am not going to be bullied into paying for 4 nights.
