Great room, small but very quirky and lots of extra touches such as bottled water, fresh milk and KitKats! Just had to remember to duck through door frames. Good sized bathroom and shower plus walk-in wardrobe provided plenty of storage. Cooked breakfast was excellent. Didn’t sample rest of pub food as only stayed one night but the list of desserts was impressive. Will definitely stay again when next in the area.

Lovely "boutique" room with a fabulous bathroom.  We were in Regis (room 3) and it is a great size with a really comfortable bed.  There was a roll-top "proper" bath as well as a large waterfall showing in the lovely large bathroom.  The staff were so friendly (as were all the locals) in this typical English pub

Great stay

We, hubby and I, stayed for one night on a Saturday. Friendly and helpful staff. We had a twin room which was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. It had a fantastic complimentary tray, including a mini fridge with fresh milk and a couple of two finger Kit Kat bars. Evening meals were large, so do take an appetite with you. Breakfast was a combination of cereals, toast and full English with fruit juice, tea or excellent coffee. We will stay again when next in the area.

Fabulous Stay

We stayed here as we were attending a wedding reception the following day.  Upon arrival the staff who greeted us were so friendly and helpful. We had Room 2. It was well presented and comfortable with all amenities catered for. The full English  breakfast the next morning was substantial and tasty. Upon returning from the wedding for the reception, the room was beautifully set up. The meal was a carvery and was one of the best we have ever had. 
The staff were extremely attentive and well organised. Nothing was too much trouble. Would love to visit again. Thank you to Charlotte and the team for a memorable stay.

Wonderful Stay

We stayed two nights in room three, which is absolutely lovely. Plenty of space, and very clean, as well as stylish. The breakfast (full English) was absolutely perfect, and we had two evening meals - group of 7 adults and one dog - and could not fault anything. The food was delicious and the staff very accommodating. I was a bit worried about the  negative reviews I read on TripAdvisor, but they are absolutely wrong!

Lovely room, great food, friendly staff

Lovely hotel. Staff are really friendly and accommodating. Very dog friendly and you can tell the owners love dogs too. Good size rooms, comfy beds, very clean. Lovely bathroom. Would definitely recommend and we will be coming back. Lovely little stay 😊

Will definitely book again

Returned to The Crown while on holiday in the area.  We went twice, once for the Sunday roast meal (excellent) and later in the week for an evening meal.  For both there was a good variety of options and we thoroughly enjoyed  the food.  We met Lewis (one of the new managers) who has a number of plans in mind to increase customer satisfaction.  However I would urge caution not to introduce too many changes too quickly - check what your large "customer base" (i.e. the locals) want first!  We also would like to compliment Sally on the standard of service that she provided - thank you. 

Excellent service and value

We stayed here earlier in the week with some family members (we had 3 rooms) and we couldn't fault it.   The rooms were cosy, warm and of a very high standard (& super  clean) - much better than some of the so-called luxury hotels I've stayed at.   Everyone was so friendly and helpful, especially Charlotte, and we had a brilliant breakfast too.   I'd definitely stay again so we could spend more time in the lovely warm bar with it's gorgeous fire,  and try some of the other food too!

Lovely Inn to stay in!

Stayed overnight in a twin room, absolutely spotless and gorgeous rooms. Obviously working very hard to make this a great stay. Lots of extras in the room were appreciated. Slept really well, great breakfast in the morning (thank you Charlotte!). Will be retuning later today for lunch. The owners (and other customers) were so friendly. Will definitely be a returning customer. Thank you for a lovely stay : )
