I was going to the Goodwood FOS as this was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic i thought a refund would be made as no one could foresee it coming.
Spoke to the owner no help ,hard luck attitude also booking.con are just as bad.

Beware even a pandemic is seen as no excuse to cancel

The reason for my reservation was to attend 2020 Goodwood Festival of Speed, which was cancelled due to Coronavirus.

The hotel refuses to refund the reservation or allow for new dates at no cost.

They don't pick up the phone and when they do, they hang up when I explain the issue.

Terrible customer service and very rude manners.

A very bad experience overall and one I'd not recommend anyone to experience.

They basically took 329€ from me

Scammers

Booked this b&b specifically on price to use as a base to attend a local scooter rally .  A warm welcome from the owners son on arrival. Some confusion over number of guests was sorted in seconds . The room was basic but clean with tea making facilities provided . A shared shower room / wc was next to our room , this was also clean . The continental breakfast option consisted of a help yourself selection of cerials in the hallway with toaster if wanted . 
The shared shower / wc would not be to everyones liking , but for us ( two males ) who just wanted beds for two nights as cheaply as possible , it was fine . The owner and son were both amicable and were available for any queries or extras needed. . The basic nature of Golden Sun will not be to everyones taste , but we have no complaints at all .

Basic but nice

This place is dreadful and resembles an unmanaged building site. No fire safety but yet our breakfast was explained as a "help yourself to toast" from a toaster in the hall. The place had an unusual smell that was hard to describe, the beds were uncomfortable and creaked and groaned. We waited till we got home to shower as we could not be sure it would be safe.

Seriously Horrendous

We arrived on time to be asked by the owner to come back later. The owner was out when we came back and the person who answered the door seemed surprised we were there. We given a key and told there is cereal available in the hallway for breakfast and one bathroom that is shared. There was no lock on our door! The key we were given was for the front door and not our room. We were placed in the owners front room with all their personal belongings. A bed was put in the room, it smelt of wet dog and the room was grubby. We were provided with two small hand towels which were dirty. There was no toiletries and the coffee mugs were stained. We did not eat or drink anything there! You could hear the dogs barking. The owner did not answer their door in the morning to check out. We could hear them in their room. We left the key in their front room. The owners have no people skills. We had to park two roads away as there was no parking spaces and is yellow lines outside the property. AVOID, DO NOT STAY HERE!

Terrible B&B

On arrival, we had no greeting and our rooms were not ready. We returned twice and the rooms still weren't ready even though we left multiple hour-long gaps between visits and the owner was quite clearly just laying on her bed. 

Issues:
-One toilet between a maximum of 14 people. 
-Crap shower sprayed in all directions.
-One hand towel the whole stay, moist constantly.
-Bathroom not cleaned during entire visit even though we heard people throwing up in there.
-"Continental breakfast consisted of a few, possibly off, cereals and an end piece of bread.
-No fresh water available had to fill bottles from the single dirty sink in the bathroom.
-Rooms were not cleaned throughout our stay and smelled musty on arrival but no one to tell.
-Promised storage space was locked with owners clothes inside.

Second night out of four was the icing on the cake. Family gathering with multiple children. Someone tried to come into all of the rooms at 3:30 am and freaked us out so we couldn't sleep. During our insomnia night, we had the pleasure of listening to visitors fornicating and spewing up in our single communal toilet. We were actually scared to go to the toilet so we opted to go together and lock our bedroom door in case anyone decided to have another go at coming into our beautiful room. I texted my mum who'd been up the entire night desperate and worried to go to the toilet and that's when we decided to all leave and book another B&B in Chichester which is much nicer. 

So glad I gave £464 to those useless chumps for 2/4 nights. We booked this through booking.com and are really hoping this can be resolved as soon as possible so that no one else has to go through this hell hole. Thanks for ruining our family holiday.

Apon arrival we knocked on the door no answer. 3 dogs came barking and attacking the door.
10 minutes later a woman answered saying our room wasn't ready and to wait 20 minutes. 
She had double booked us putting all 3 of us in one room. 
Entered the house and it stank of wet dog. 
Entered the room.
No lock on the door at all. 
Room smelt of wet dog. 
Smelt of cigarette smoke.(im a smoker and I could smell it) 
Door to back garden. Looked out and was dog poo and chew bones everywhere. 
Large curtains on the wall next to bed. Pulled back to see into the ladies kitchen where more dogs started to bark. 
Looked at the beds. 
Pulled back one of the sheets to find dog hair everywhere. 
We refused to stay and went else where. 
Avoid this place at all costs.
