Having stayed several times before so  we knew what we would be in for, a great nights sleep in a comfortable bed in a warm roon with shower and bath both providing hot good pressure water.
Nice guy on reception Luke, the room was on the 3rd floor lift to 2nd only.
 we cannot however recommend eating in the pub downstairs as the food is usually well below acceptable, there are plenty of other choices nearby.
Parking is never an issue park on street over by the Boys school free after 5 until 9pm  and for 2 hours after that so park after 3 and you are ok until 11 next day.

OK, but......

Room 107 was very good with a hide king size bed and a big feel with super high ceilings and good space.  Shower could have been more powerful but a modern bathroom and a quiet and dark room through the night.  For £56 a night it was super value right in the centre of Monmouth.

Great comfortable room and location

Stayed in a few Wetherspoons hotels and this one is right up there. Really nice setting and for the money it's difficult to beat. A large room that was very clean and well looked after. Extremely comfortable bed, plenty of storage and a really nice bathroom too. The shower alone was worth the cost of the room. As ever with 'Spoons, food in the bar is more than adequate and you'll want to return here without a doubt

Poor food quality compared to other Weatherspoons that we have visited. Dry, rubbery, grilled chicken in the katsu curry & the tuna in the panini was dry/poor quality with very little cheese.
The alcohol was good as usual in any "Spoons".
Service was ok.

Stayed at Wetherspoon B and B in Monmouth and Weston Super Mare.  Absolutely brilliant.  Very good rooms and facilities. Excellent.  Very good staff, most helpful and would certainly recommend.  Will certainly be back.  Thank you.  Elizabeth and hubby

Absolutely BRILLIANT

Would like to say what a brilliant weekend we had.
 
Prior to our weekend away I called the hotel to check out a few points. 
Beverley was very helpful & accommodated our requests.

The room was very spacious with the biggest bed we had ever seen. 
Had positioning reading lights both sides of the bed. TV on wall. Beverage facilities well stocked. Nice white fluffy towels.

Our room was on the back which people had previously commented could be noisy with air vents running but didn't hear them at all! 

Others had mentioned the below beer garden was noisy. We heard minimal noise and it shuts earlier than the adjoining pub so wasn't a problem.

If there was anything I would change its the overhead shower as its ceiling head only with no other option, so hair got wet whether you wanted to or not. But shower was large & nice hot water.

Staff in the adjoining pub were lovely & helpful.
Sometimes they were rushed off their feet as didn't seem enough staff to accommodate the demand.  Few more staff would help.

All in all would highly recommend this hotel and Monmouth as a place. Its steeped in history. 10 out of 10 for us. Thank you we will be back SOON......

The outside of the building is a mass of colourful summer flowers very beautiful. Inside is seating areas on many levels with outside area accessed via steps on a lower level. There is facilities for mobility access but lots of steps and levels to negotiate. A building with lots of character and the expected never disappointed Wetherspoon menu. It also has accommodation on the premises.

Have been using the bar/restaurant for many years on our recent visit we could not understand why all the food menu’s had been removed from the tables but the drinks lists were still on the tables.I asked one of the staff why and he didn’t know just a new rule he said but everyone is asking us for a menu.We then saw the menu’s stacked in a rack rear of pub is this progress because iam 80 years of age & I don’t use the dreaded APP to order my food.

The room was large and comfortable. The location is excellent. Very nice young man checked us in and gave us all necessary information.  We were then left to our own devices, though we could go into the bar if we required assistance.I would stay here again and would definitely recommend it to others.
