Had one night stay here, dog friendly bar and rooms. Very cosy bar nice log fire and welcoming staff. Sunday roast chicken on evening was nice but nothing special, would have preferred sliced chicken rather than thigh and wing .
Bedrooms in separate building very newly decorated and welcoming,  fresh flowers in very clean hallway a nice touch. Room was a twin with a bath , good quality linens and towels.
Breakfast was very nice, homemade baked beans a bit of an odd one but ok.
Would stay here again but probably eat dinner elsewhere.

From start to finish the experience here was fantastic. Clean rooms, extremely comfortable bed and great food. I was pleased to see the thoughtful touch of reserving a table for dinner just in case we may wish to eat with them was done and subsequently we did and the meal was fantastic in a cosy corner by the log burner,

Friendly staff and great experience, probably one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in the Cotswolds and we go there a lot. Keep up the great work

A hidden gem within the Cotswolds

Called in for Sunday lunch & managed to get a table for 4.
Girls had the roast chicken & boys lamb suet pudding, both amazing, good portion size, lovley vegetable selection & piping hot food. Service was excellent as where the desserts. Can't wait to return 

Sunday lunch 

The Crown is just what a country pub should be: warm and welcoming, characterful with odd corners, fine scenery all around and good food  (try to eat in the pub itself not the more sterile long dining room). Scramble for a lamb suet pudding. 

From memory, the rooms are full of the very best linen. 

Best to avoid the car park on very icy days or you may slip down the steep lane to the Cheltenham branch line and your doom.

Just the thing

We recently moved to Cirencester and spend most weekends walking in the surrounding countryside - always stopping off in a village inn.  The Crown is now topping the charts as our favourite pub. We were practically blown through the doors - such was the force of the wind -and it was a real joy to wander around each bar area with their separate crackling log fires.  As we had already eaten on a stop-off in the nearby Daneway Inn (another fabulous pub), we didn't sample the food. It looked fabulous though and we'll be sure to try it on our next visit, which will definitely be soon!

This was my third visit to the Crown Inn so hopefully my review speaks for itself.  It is in an amazing location, the accommodation is in a separate block a few seconds away from the pub and restaurant and the food is excellent.  It seems to attract many locals into the pub for both local ales and food as well as guests like ourselves enjoying the beauty of the Cotswolds.

The staff were all extremely helpful and pleasant.  

THIRD VISIT

Love the Crown Inn! We stayed overnight on a trip to the UK and loved the countryside surrounding the Inn. It was a very busy weeknight and the service was amazing, the beer cold and dinner delicious. We enjoyed a walk through the local area before breakfast which was delicious. Highly recommend.

Busy pub midweek but excellent service and a fantastic moderately priced menu.

Have stayed here before on business and it’s better this year than ever. Soecidd as is on todays menu based on fresh caught fish from Cornwall and the chef just uses what’s in the catch but prepares it to perfection . Fillet of Gurnard , so unusual to get this delicate flavoured fish often relegated to fish pie and soup but served with Croutons and on a bed of Lovesge and peas with a warm Tartare sauce was absolutely delicious . 

Rooms have been refurbished to be high standard. Very comfortable.

Location in delightful valley and stone cottages village

Specials are amazing fresh fish from Cornwall and some unusual fish presented to perfection

Tucked away in a quiet village surrounded by beautiful countryside, the Crown was a real find. I stayed here with friends for one night in the family room. The beds were comfy, fluffy towels, lots of tea/coffee makings and a great view out of the window. 
Dinner was a treat. The food was delicious and menu had lots of local produce on it.
The staff were wonderful and welcoming. 
This was my first stay but won't be my last.

A Hidden Gem

Unfortunately a very poor meal. 
Placed an order which took an hour, after half an hour were told certain items on the menu weren’t available- once our mains did arrive, mine arrived freezing cold. Other family members mentioned their food was bland and tasteless. Very disappointing. Unfortunately won’t be returning.
