Having stayed at the Court House for 3 nights last week,  I have nothing but praise for the manner we were treated. Colleen and her team were extremely friendly, nothing was too much trouble and the food was exceptionally good. I would certainly recommend it and would stay there again if we were down in Essex again.

Another fantastic night, food as always was Perfect, and the amazing staff again 1st class, our family who visited us stayed there too for 1 night and they couldn’t fault it, they are looking forward to returning soon, they loved the cooked breakfast too… thank you 

Perfection

Just celebrated my 80th birthday here with 12 family and friends. I cannot praise the Courthouse high enough. From the moment we arrived until we left 3 hours later we were treated by the very friendly staff as if we were royalty.

They had prepared a long table with six down each side and the food was excellent and of the highest quality. They brought a cake out with candles and stayed to join everyone singing Happy Birthday.

Thank you to The Courthouse for making my day a joyous one to remember.
I just wish I could give them 10 stars.

80th Birthday Celebration

Four adults and a dog sitting in the patio area for lunch.  The staff were very friendly and made our dog feel as welcomed as we were.
The main courses were excellent, tasty and beautifully presented as were our deserts.  We choose the salmon and sea bass.  Lots of choice with plenty of gluten free options if required.  We will definitely be returning soon.

We came with our young grandchildren to enjoy this family pub. Food choice is large in comparison to other pubs and specials are shown on boards on walls around the pub and menus given to customers including specials.

The staff are excellent and we’re very attentive and good with the grandchildren

The five recently fully refurbished rooms are situated behind the main restaurant building away from the traffic. Whilst not spacious they aren't  cluttered with unnecessary furniture but are bright and clean so work really well for two guests. Good quality bedding and towels. Excellent walk-in shower. Large car park is adjacent to rooms. Excellent for a short break.
All staff friendly and efficient, nice to be greeted with a smile.
Restaurant offers superb menu plus specials, Well cooked food and nicely presented.
We were on a short break visiting local gardens and nature reserves -  in fact we enjoyed our stay so much that we returned for an extra night on our journey home!


Great place for an Essex break

Attended for a Sunday roast recently with the family for a birthday lunch. This was a pretty perfect visit. The food was amazing, hot freshly served and tasty. The staff are all so helpful so friendly and efficient you really can not ask for more. Nothing was too much trouble. The managers are lovely but so were all the young waitresses who were polite welcoming and very efficient. They all made our visit worthwhile and this makes such a difference in a restaurant. The Court House really do know how to produce good food and look after it’s guests. I actually went to this venue a few weeks before this visit and had an amazing meal with friends off the main menu which was simply delicious so much credit where it’s deserved I will certainly come again as just can’t recommend enough. Well done and thank you.

AFTER ARRIVAL WITH THE BOAT IN HARWICH WE MADE THE FIRST STOP FOR A DRINK AND AN OVERNIGHT AT THE COURTHOUSE, HARWICH ROAD, GREAT BROMLY, THE RECEPTION WHAS VERRY FRENDLY. THE ROOM FOR SLEEPING WAS CLEAN AND COUSY. AFTER A GOOD SLEEP WAS THE BREAKFAST (FULL ENGLISCH) THE NEXT MORNING EXELENT.

DUE TO THE HOSPITALITY, GOOD BREAKFAST AND CLEAN ROOM WE MADE AN APOINTMENT FOR DE LAST EVENING BEFOR TRAVELLING BACK TO THE BOAT FOR  HOEK VAN HOLLAND. 

AFTER ARRIVAL ON THE LAST DAY OF OUR HOLLIDAY WE HAD AN EXTRAORDINAIRY DINER. AFTER A TEN DAY TOUR THROUGH THE SOUTH OF ENGLAND WE EXPERIENCED THAT THE COURTHOUSE HAS A KITCHEN WHICH IS A SPECIAL RECOMMENDATION WORTHY.

AFTER ACKNOWLEDGEING WE WENT TO SLEEPAND LEFT EARLY TO CATCH A BOAT, FILLED WITH GOOD MEMORIES AND THANKS TO THE TEAM FROM THE COURTHOUSE IN GREAT BROMLEY.

Amazing atmosphere excellent staff food unbelievable best Eton mess ever will definitively come back  shame it’s not local to where I live otherwise I would be using court house restaurant more often

Visited early evening and despite the poor weather the restaurant was extremely busy. The choice is overwhelmingly good with a wide range of specials to choose from, but for me save some room for the biscoff cheesecake…. utterly delicious. The service as always is excellent and is now on par with its sister restaurant the Wooden Fender.
