Stayed in 14 The Coombe found this through Facebook. Chalet was spotless. Lots of room for all of the family. Lovely patio area for barbecues in the evening sun. 15 mins into Bude- What more could you ask for?!

Sun, Sea & Lots of Space

Lovely lodge, which was perfect for us. Superb views over countryside and to the sea from the patio, lounge and front bedroom. Modern and simple interior with everything you could want & need. Fabulous location to explore local beaches and attractions. Tried wake boarding 3 times at North Devon Lakes, which was great fun  (lots of other water sports there to enjoy too- visit to Port Isaac (Doc Martin), lots of fun at Bude Sea Pool and great food at Elements and Sunday Roast at the Little Pig just 1/2 a mile away. Village within a short walk - Superb Spa shop where you can borrow books and swap for FREE! Feeling relaxed refreshed!

2 THE COOMBE EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS

Second visit to Penstowe, great area, not far from Bude or Holsworthy. Great beaches near by, water park for the kids, Penstowe Manor is great for evening entertainment, you can take dogs in the manor which is great. 
The venue Bude for bowling, next to it is Bude Leisure centre for swimming, flumes and wave machine. 
Widemouth Bay is the best beach, but if you have a dog just drive on a 100 yards to Black rock!( dogs allowed) 
Port Isaac was awesome- especially if you like Doc Martin. 

Kilkampton-Bude 2023 

We stayed at Coombe Valley view ( No 2 the Coombe ) located at penstowe park . The lodge is beautifully and tastefully furnished and has everything needed for a lovely stay. We booked directly with the owners They were super friendly, helpful and accommodating, We visited stunning beaches near by ( Sandymouth and Bude) and even took a drive to Port St Isaac and Polzeath beach ( all a definite visit ) . As this was our first visit in Cornwall , we were definitely not disappointed and having a lovely place to stay made it even more memorable.. The sunset views on return from the beach definitely rounded off the day . Highly recommend a stay here .

No 2 the coombe

Stay in Atlantic reach, manor 5. The chalet had everything we wanted and was spotlessly clean. Beautiful white towels and bed linen.  The park was peaceful and all outside areas clean and tidy. We used the indoor pool a couple of times and was more than satisfied with it. The highlight of my 4 year old granddaughters holiday was the Kids Club every evening. All of the entertainment was professionaly presented and varied. Can’t thank everybody involved with the running of this site enough, every member of staff we came across was friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back and would recommend.

Excellent holiday

What a great holiday we had at Penstowe Park.We stayed at 5 The Coombe.
Booking with Ron and Kerry was easy and friendly..
5 the coombe has a unique private front patio and a lovely rear garden, the two gates can be locked so our granddaughter Kia who stayed with us could wonder outside in a secure space..outside tables and chairs in front and rear gave us a lovely choice of where to sit and enjoy the sunshine.
Inside was very modern with all that you need for a holiday..wi.fi was superb and easily dealt with our phones  tablets, and our fire stick.
We even had £20.00 of electricity put into the meter for us on our arrival..the weather was so good we didn't need any heating  and  only used about £8.00 worth.
Ron and Kerry had joined the Penstowe leisure club so all our swimming was free to us. The pool was always clean and just the right temperature. At night we visited King Arthurs for our entertainment and a few drinks..great atmosphere.
We visited several of the nearby beaches and had lovely walks over the cliffs and along the canal
We had one of the best holidays I can remember and will book again for next year.

We had a great weeks holiday at Manor 6. The chalet had everything you needed with a patio and barbecue which we used frequently. We could use the swimming facilities free as our chalet owners had paid for  the guests free admission. The chalet is in a lovely part of the park with a grassy area in front of the property and views to the sea and amazing sunsets. We also used King Arthur's as there is a kids club and a bar.
Penstowe is really near to the beaches in Bude and a short walk to the village of Kilkhampton where there are a couple of pubs serving food.
We would definitely come back to Manor 6 and Penstowe Park.

Great stay on Penstowe

4 adults stayed at the lodge (No.2 The Coombe, Coombe Valley View at penstowe park, Kilkhampton) for a short break. It was perfect. It had everything and more for our weeks stay. Super clean and modern finish. 
Swimming pool, entertainment (magician) and bar on site (drinks very reasonably priced)  and free entry even for the indoor swimming pool ( Penstowe Leisure ) with this lodge, the water was super warm.
Plenty of walking, fishing, eating and drinking during our stay. 
Great to get onto the beaches as the weather was kind. We walked from Summerleaze to Duckpool and visited Northcotts and Widemouth Beaches. We also walked The Coombe Valley- lovely scenery, smells and bird song. 
We ate at ‘The Beach’- overlooking Summerleaze Beach and had not only views but a great meal and a wide selection of drinks were available including cocktails. 
We visited Padstow just 1 hour away and had a wonderful day there.  
We also took a 30 min drive to Clovelly and had a lovely day in this unique private owned harbour village. Super views and an experience not to be missed. 
Caught plenty of Bream and Carp at The Little Pig Fishery just 5 min drive away.

All boxes ticked

The lodge itself was nice and clean, our only  dissapointment was double bed's mattress - its really time to change it, even by hand you can feel the springs and it was very uncomfortable to sleep, so second night we put 2 single beds together and slept in another room which was much better mattreses. Also there were ants in a kitchen, all over the table... It could do with a cutting grass by the lodge, looked little bit like abandened... Would I stay at this holiday park? Yes, in another accomodation. Would I stay in the same lodge? No. :)

Bit dissapointed

Bargain price with Hoseasons. Great location. The chalet (Stowe) was comfortable and exceeded expectations. Quiet. Comfortable. All the mod cons. Definitely worth a stay for the price. Katie at check in is super helpful and friendly. Can't go wrong.
