This was out 2nd time here and didn’t disappoint was beautiful as always had sparkles the cat visit every morning and evening when we came home.  The hosts just perfect. We are coming back but this time in the summer can’t wait. 🌟⭐️🌟⭐️

My 50th birthday

Lovely quiet place, nice relaxing atmosphere. Clean and tidy, comfortable beds. Everything you need is there, small things like knife sharpener and small pots of salt and pepper would be bonus. Nice to stay in and rest if you don't like driving around and plenty to see if you like to drive short or longer distance. 

Brilliant place!

This is a lovely small site just outside Bude. The owners operate the site and are always available and very welcoming, and clearly take care of lots of small details that make all the difference. The lodges are very comfy and well equipped,  including a hot tub on a sunny but private deck.It feels very much like home from home. There is a chicken coop and the site has a cat that occasionally visited, much to the joy of our children!. Theres also a playing area, and some laundry facilities. Wifi worked well, recycling facilities were present. For EV drivers- there's a good EV charging location nearby in Bude, about 6 minutes drive, along with the nearest supermarkets. Beach is about 10-12 minutes drive, and there's plenty to do in the nearby area. Sadly a week was not long enough, so we hope to return!

Quiet, relaxing and unique

What a beautiful lodge and location. It was the perfect family staycation. We had wonderful day trips out to padstow, port Issac and of course Bude. It was lovely to come back and relax in the hot tub. The clear skys meant that the evening were spent start gazing at the most spectacular views. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Just we were there for longer. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Tranquil, relaxing, beautiful

What a superb spot for a relaxing week! These lodges are really well equipped, well maintained and comfortable. The hot tubs are great, a fab way to wind down at the end of the day. Bude is a lovely seaside town with some lovely beaches and eateries, and there is so much to see and do within reach with a car. The couple who run Ivyleaf do it so well - they are visible but never intrusive. Check in arrangements are welcoming and low-key (ideal when you've done battle with the M5!), and in the lodge, you are provided with a number to contact them on if you need anything. Anything that does crop up is dealt with discreetly and efficiently. Thank you Jools & Russell for facilitating such a lovely week.

Quiet, peaceful and private

Beautiful Lodge and Setting. We stayed in Hedgehog it’s beautiful inside and out, thought and care has been taken into account for every holiday need. The welcome pack, made up beds, dishwasher tablets, extra blankets, cleaning products, hot tub, wifi, quality accessories and appliances, laundry room, plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 teens, hot tub was private, deck was a sun trap, set in the peaceful countryside just a few mins from the beach. We all had a relaxing time and thoroughly enjoyed staying at such a beautiful location and lodge. We hope to be back again soon.

Beautiful Lodges in quiet location.

We stayed here for 1 week and chose the Fox Lodge which was a little more secluded and private compared to the other lodges. 

It did not fail to impress. Upon arrival (we were early) Russ was very welcoming - he gave us some tips on where to go while our lodge was being prepared, he then text us an hour later (1 hour before expected check in) to say the lodge was ready. 

Our lodge was perfect - clean, good size, great lay out, private and well equipped - more so than any other lodge we’ve stayed in and we do this multiple times a year. The welcome pack was a generous touch and pretty perfect after a long drive. 

The location was ideal, secluded but close enough to the town of Bude and some amazing beaches. We have a 5 year old who is obsessed with any water activities so we spent a lot of time at the local beaches - Summerleaze, Crockletts, Widemouth, Sandymouth. We particularly loved Sandymouth in the evenings when we would go and watch the sunset - we did this a few times. The location is also not too far from some beautiful walks along the coastline and major attractions such as Tintagel and the stunning Boscastle.

There’s an on-site park which was perfect for our daughter. She enjoyed this early morning and just before dinner while watching the sheep in the field across the stream. 

All in all this was the best holiday we’ve had in a long time.

Absolutely incredible break in a beautiful lodge with stunning scenery

Stayed here with my children for a week, this was home from home and in a lovely setting! Lovely to come back to after exploring the rest of Cornwall! Hot tub was used everyday and was clean. My little boy loved the play park it’s a nice touch! Was very private, I saw the owner once when I first got to the lodge but there’s a number if you need anything. Perfect and I’ll be visiting again for sure.

Brilliant place to stay, will be back here next time too.

Stayed here for a week in July, 2 adults and 2 kids aged 13 and 9.
After a 6 hour trek from the metropolis of Leicester and settling into a welcoming  hamper (Where were the scenes!!!?)of cornish tea left on our arrival by the owners, we took in the ambience  of this stunning location.
We were in Kingfisher lodge consisting of a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, hob, toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge and freezer and 2 bedroom either side of the living quarters consisting  of 2 singles and one double. Shower and separate bath too which is great for the smaller kids.
Nestled just off the A39 a few miles away from the centre on Bude and relatively  easy to find you have a beautiful  green location consisting of 10 lodges. Good parking for cars and the lodges are finely and tastefully  decorated to a lovely standard with top facilities throughout.
The hot tub is an added bonus after a good days walking and adventurous activities!
Theres a communal  area with a washing machine and tumble dryer and DVDs etc.
Theres a lovely play area for kids and a green for a kick about.
Russ and Jools have really put their heart into this and its stunning.
Russ is a hero in my daughters eyes for sorting out the wifi(Shes 13 so  this is life changing for her!).
Jools not so much of a hero for telling me about the arduous  run up Stonehill!!!
Seriously  though, a great find, a great lodge, great owners and a great week!!
Will hopefully return, but will want some scones as a welcome hamper!!!

Amazing week in Bude

We first stayed here in lockdown for two weeks, we had such an amazing time, we stayed again this year. We love to surf so this is a great lodge which is near to Summerleaze beach (Bude about 7 mins away) and Widemouth (10 minutes away). We often visit Disraeli from here too. It’s not far from Padstow, Tintagel and one of our favourite places Bocastle as it’s beautiful. 

Some of our fav places to eat were the deck, olive tree, The Bank, Potters, Sea fever all very good some expensive. In the summer it’s good to book way in advance as they get booked up really quick.

The lodges are well equipped, with quirky items, and everything you need for a stay. Russel and Jools are super friendly and helpful, nothing seems to be any trouble. They give you a super cute welcome pack on  arrival and provide a lot of cleaning stuff, bin bags, which I wouldn’t expect to find so much appreciated.

We also love that the hens pop to see us sometimes and the beloved cat sparkles whom spent a whole two weeks with us the first time but sadly only one day this time (too tip bring dreamies apparently)
