Our second stay here, as my friends and I were participating in a country sports weekend. Absolutely faultless service yet again. Outstanding!

Nothing is too much trouble, I don’t know how they do it for the price, tbh. Looking forward to our next visit....

Absolutely first class, again!

Our daughter got married in Westward Ho! on Friday 8th November and we booked Mayfield House for the Thursday, Friday & Saturday night (we had a 3 night for the price of 2 deal). 
Sally, apart from being a lovely person and amazing landlady, couldn't have been more accommodating and genial if she'd tried (she even ferried all of us to the wedding venue on Friday morning). 
The breakfasts are out of this world so if you do stay here and miss out on them you need to have a word with yourself! Despite the awful weather, the rooms we had were spacious, warm and spotlessly clean and, when the rain allowed us to see it, ours had a fantastic view across to Croyde.
The wedding itself was wonderful but knowing that we had such a great base to stay at made it that little bit more special. 

   

As good as it gets!

We stayed here one night as we were walking the SWCP.  Sally made sure we were well looked after, the room was spotless and well equipped (fresh milk was lovely to have).  Breakfast was served at a time that suited us which was great as we could make an early start on our walk to Clovelly.  We would highly recommend staying here.

Warm welcome

A beautiful B&B in a good location just a few minutes walk from the front but a quiet location. We had a lovely room with a great view. Sally couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. And cake on arrival! Lovely breakfast with lots of choice. It was obvious that she had a lot of visitors who returned every year. Westward Ho was a pleasant surprise. Lovely green overlooking the beach and sea and some good restaurants. Highly recommend Mayfield House - and it's excellent value.

Stayed one night at Sally's B&B whilst walking the SWCP. We were very impressed.

Sally and Dave, the hosts are so friendly and hospitable.  The room my sister and I stayed in for 2 nights didn't have a sea view, but the others do. We booked late to go to a family funeral so weren't there for a holiday. We arrived at 8.30pm after a long drive and just wanted to sleep. As we weren't going out to eat, Sally offered a slice of her delicious apple cake and fresh milk for hot drinks. Much appreciated!
The room was spotless, as was the good sized en-suite. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept like a log! 
Breakfasts were delicious. Hot food is ordered the night before and there is a lovely selection. A cold table with cereals, fruit, nuts, home made yogurt and juices is a lovely start, then a pot of tea or freshly brewed coffee and toast are brought to the table. Breakfast was relaxed and furnished.
The house is beautiful and in a pleasant location with the sea and beach front 5 minutes walk away at the end of the road. 
Can you tell I love this place? I'm returning for a long weekend next month with my husband. I can't wait....this place was a fabulous find! 

The best B&B I've stayed in. 

Sally and David provide all you need at Mayfield. Even a personalised breakfast! We wish we'd found it years ago! Very tastefully decorated rooms with toiletries, slippers and bathrobes. The attention to detail is incredible. Right down to the home made fudge and bottle of water.

Great

From turning up to the property I was impressed! Myself and best friend stayed here as we were attending a wedding in westward ho, safe to say we were very happy with our chosen property! The owners are two of the most loveliest people I’ve ever met, they’re property is beautiful and is very homely, the bedroom we stayed in was gorgeous with the most stunning view, the bed was comfy, the decor was beautiful I was so impressed! Great value for money, lovely location with beautiful surroundings! Thank you so much for making it a lovely weekend for me and my friend we really appreciate your warming welcome and excellent service. I would stay here again definitely! Couldn’t of asked for better, the breakfast is beautiful also!!

Beautiful!

We received a warm welcome from Sally, the home made cake was a lovely touch. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. Sally suggested some places to eat and drink, which were only a short walk away, and we ended up at a great Thai restaurant on the sea front (definitely recommend it). She very kindly looked after our car while we continued on with our walk over the next 9 days - thankyou for that. Sally was the perfect host and obviously loves what she does, providing a homely, comfortable place to stay. We started our walk to Clovelly after a delicious hearty breakfast. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Fabulous start to walking the coastal path

Great welcome .Accommodation spotless and generous .Beds comfortable and breakfast excellent.Its only a short walk down the hill for an evening meal and there iwas a lovely view of the sea from our room .The hostess is delightful and very attentive.Highly recommended

Great stay on SWCP

What a comfortable,lovely Guest House. Our room was large. Top of the stairs and first left. Huge room with en suite facilities  and a lovely seating area. Tea and coffee making facilities as well as T.V.

Sally the hostess was very friendly and breakfast was superb. If I stayed in Westward Ho again this would be the only place to stay.

Off road parking and a short walk to the sea front. Amazing x
