I visited Abbey Guest house with 3 friends, after our hotel was cancelled. I have to say what a wonderful experience we had. The welcome we recieved from Terri was so warm and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble, she made us feel that we were at home. The house was spotless, very comfortable beds, delicious breakfast. We will definitely be returning. Thank you Terri.

Life saver

Absolutely fantastic place, so welcoming, clean and perfect location. Paula and Rob are the perfect hosts nothing was too much trouble for them. Upon arrival Rob phoned to tell me that if we had a problem parking in the car park to call him and he would sort a space out for us. So we found him guarding a place for us with two cones.... !! 😂😂
We we’re greeted by Paula, Rob took our bags up to our room and left us to it..Oh my goodness what a beautiful room and an even better view, the room was clean with heated towels, a very comfy bed and plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits... Yum Yum... 
A great night sleep was had by us both a very powerful shower and a wonderful breakfast absolutely spot on. The hostess with the mostest ( Paula) could not do enough for us, Plenty of tea and toast and a full English... Wow it was yummy... Off we went to explore the city came back to rest our feet and have a brew, and on the side was some delicious flap jack.. PERFECT 👌👌
This B & B was the icing on the cake and made our stay in York even more memorable, we have booked for a couple of months time... If anyone was to find fault with this little gem WELL they need their head testing!!!

Great amenities, especially if you need an accessible bathroom.  Clean and tidy. Great breakfast. Terry was very helpful in organising  transport additional to the excellent public transport at the front door. Great value for money. Would definitely recommend the Abbey Guest House.

Excellent B&B

We booked out all the rooms for 2 nights. They were all excellent and offered a variety of options for different family groups. All the rooms were spotless, the beds were comfortable and the showers were working well with large soft towels. The lovely owner made us feel very welcome. Many of our party had dietary restrictions and we were all catered for superbly. There was car parking for all our cars and we were able to charge an electric car overnight. Highly recommended.

Great base for a family group attending a wedding in Abingdon

Around the corner from our friends in Abbingdon - The B&B had an extremely well appointed and clean room and superior facilities.    Friendly, helpful staff and we rather regret not having breakfast as it smelled so good !

Exceptional B&B

If you are wheelchair bound and have limited ability you will know how hard it is to find suitable accommodation. The Abbey Guest House offers a room with a range of aids, hoist, toilet chair, a bed with an adjustable back and Terry the owner is more than willing to do all she can to facilitate your needs. The accessible room is on the small side with two single beds and not a great deal of space for wheelchair user and carer but it meets the needs of most people even with very limited function. Shower room is accessible, toilet/shower chair was provided.
The house is spotless, the breakfast, outstanding and you would find it hard to get a better and more accommodating, understanding host.
When booking, be clear about your requirements and Terry will pull out all the stops to meet your needs. We have not found anywhere that that is up to the standard that the Abbey Guest House offers. 
My partner is a MS sufferer with very limited ability and we would go there again tomorrow

Accommodation for the severely disabled.

Very nice and friendly bed and breakfast. Large family room with comfortable beds. Careing service. Excellent breakfast. We recommended this place for short or long stay. Calm surroundings. Several places nearby to eat.

Excellent bed and breakfast near Oxford

I had a lovely stay at this guest house the night before an interview. Terry was lovely - she was more than willing to accommodate my arrival time when I said I might be delayed slightly. She offered me a cup of tea on arrival and advised me that I could use the fresh milk if I needed to.

The room was spotless and was very well furnished. There were toiletries provided and there was a small kettle in the room with tea and coffee available. There was an ironing board, hairdryer and TV in the room. 

If I was in the area again I would definitely stay here! Terry was very welcoming and a great host.

Spotless guest house and a welcoming host!

This is one of the best wheelchair accessible Guesthouses I have ever stayed in, good parking, easy access, lift to first floor, lovely host, fantastic choice for breakfast, able to cope with various dietary needs. We stayed in the family room, lots of turning space, comfortable beds, wet room with plenty of space and handrails, quality towels and bathrobes. Will definitely use again if going to be in the Oxford area, very convenient buses to Oxford, into Abingdon and Didcot from just outside the drive.

Great wheelchair access

On arrival I was given a warm welcome and a pot of tea . The standard of care to detail and cleanliness is expressed in the quality of surroundings. From the inside to the outside the guest house is very well kept. My room was a good size including a large shower with clean towels daily and all shampoos soap etc . It had a tv , ironing board, tea, coffee, radio alarm reading lamps main light switches bedside. Just so many thoughtful things in the room even including cotton earbuds, trouser press etc etc. The cooked breakfast was also perfect local farm produced bacon and sausage not greasy. There were fresh fruit cereal basically anything you desire the owner just was on it .
I will certainly stay there again as the people I met do also for travel business etc.
