I went to this amazing city to visit my ex-mother-law as she goes home each year for three months, it's a beautiful city with extremely friendly and helpful people, there are mountains and beautiful buildings(especially the churches) there's a village museum that shows how people lived there in the 18th century, I spent only 2 weeks and wish I had another month there. You will not be disappointed from your arrival in Kiev and the sites there as well as your 12 hour train ride to Chernivtsi in an old style sleeping car train. It's like stepping back in time!!
