Met up with others through Saiga tours for Turkmenistan trip. One girl had idea to upgrade here as we heard it was the only hotel with internet.  She was right, and it was worth the $190us/night.  Still only worked in room, and watch out for cameras everywhere, don't take pics of gov't sites or palaces, don't post anything disparaging about the country or gov't, to get LOI use new email or delete everything in your profile about government job, media, journalist, religion, or anything controversial (ie abortion, women's rights). Pool was unheated but nice as hot. Hotel is lovely, sparkling marble and gold, friendly bartenders, feel watched all the time, breakfast was ok (nothing for gluten free except yogurt and eggs), service was excellent, we were 5 of maybe 10 people in whole hotel. Location is ok, very long to walk to go anywhere, taxis are generally available if you speak Russian.

Best internet in Turkmenistan

What can i say but good things. Late check in and in and out woth in 5 mins with key in hand. Nice spacious room, siper cold A/C, and pool view. In city center and walkable to wherever you want.

Ni e pool and pool lounge during the day and pub in evening. The on soght restautant very good bit pricey if eating elsewhere.

Second stay nice place

Well. Where do I need to start? Five stars is defectively a correct indication for this hotel. Everything resembles luxury. Rooms are spacious and well-equipped. Outside swimming pool is huge and lounge area including the bar is very pleasant. Inside pool and sauna/hamam facilities are great too. Breakfast is lavish; too much to choose from. The staff even arranged a breakfast take-away for us as we had a very early check-out in the morning. Only downside: stairs to the 3rd, 4th and 5th are hidden. Some people do prefer the stairs over the elevator!

Luxury that aligns with the Marble City

This is a great hotel and just across from the Presidential Palace (which you are not allowed to photograph)  Located in a dictatorship has major drawbacks - including few visitors.  Still the hotel deserves the five star rating.  Friendly staff but assume you are under constant surveillance.  Breakfast has an excellent selection

Where are the people?

Although it was a short stay, it was a comfortable one. We arrived late and had to leave very early next morning, so they packed some simple food for us to bring on-the-go. Kind staff. The room was spacious and the huge bed gave me a good sleep that night. Food in the restaurant was alright to fill our tummy. I truly appreciate that they had a welcome note for me when I got to the room - feels good especially after a long flight. The painting in the room with person on swing looking down feels a little freaky, so I tried to cover it during my stay. Apart from this, it was a good stay here.

Luxurious in this city

Good hotel in the most bizarre city that one has every seen. Located directly across the street from the Presidential Palace but due to security concerns on pictures allowed to be taken of Hotel or Palace. Breakfast good and one could request eggs cooked to order. Rooms large and comfortable
