We had a most pleasant stay. The landlords were exceedingly hospitable and went out of their way to ensure we have a comfortable stay. The view was spectacular: sunrise, lush greenaries and long jogging/cycling tracks. The location was fantastic too, being near to The Central mall and airport. It is a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life.

I came back to River Rai Residences after 4 years and was happy to see that things had remained ouch need for the largest part.
The hosts were great, and gave us plenty of good advice on what to do, where to eat, the room was perfect and the service excellent.
To be< recommended without any restriction !

Nice, luxurious and relaxing

The River Rai properties were in a quiet location right next to the River Kok. We were the first post-Covid visitors and the owners were very eager to please us, with very attentive service and a few complimentary items laid on. The rooms were beautiful and we had a lovely view of the river. There is a small plunge pool which was very welcome during our stay - we made good use of it. We also thought the shower was the best one we had on our entire trip through Thailand this summer (and we stayed at 11 different places).

The roadworks outside were quite messy - hopefully these will be completed soon so that guests have an easier time getting to the property. The owners should consider including the price of breakfast in the room charge. We decided against taking breakfast due to cost - it would have cost 1000 Baht per day for my family which seemed quite expensive.

A quiet and well appointed base from which to explore Chiang Rai

Our family of six had a lovely three day stay at River Rai Residences. The villas were spacious, and the staff, very friendly and accommodating. Greg was especially helpful with recommendations for where to visit and eat. The location by the river has its pros and cons. Pro: the view is great, con: there are dinner plus karaoke river cruises in the evenings which get rather noisy. We were keen on fishing and the Residences provides complimentary rods. Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to catch anything. Perhaps the fish were kept away by the bad karaoke!

Relaxing family getaway

We stay at River Rai for 3 nights. It was a wonderful time for two of us. First, the location is perfect, just beside the river and very quiet, very good for relaxation and family vacation. The hotel is just 5 minutes drive to the city or other local markets. It is also very near to the airport and supermarket. 

The room is very good and spacious. The facility inside and outside the room is also very good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We are able to request for local food for breakfast in which the staff puts great effort to prepare them for us. It is, of course, delicious.

We definitely will return and stay there again for our next vacation in Chiang Rai.

Quiet, excellent facility, great staff

A well maintained and beautiful place which feels like home. The host gave us some tips and information on how best we can enjoy our trip in Chiang Rai. He also took extra effort to prepare a vegetarian breakfast for us as requested by us. It was easy for us to find halal food around this place because it's located near to a Pakistan mosque and a muslim village. We even had a boat ride along the Kok River which had been arranged by our host to picked us up at the residence jetty.  Really enjoyed our stay in Chiang Rai and would love to come back again at River Rai Residence.

Four wonderful days at River Rai Residence

Everything is perfect.I have ever  never seen this type of quality service.It is exactly like your house except good quality massage whenever you want to take it. I was there for honeymoon. We stayed only 1 night but I still can not not forget there.

Incredible Place

We are the first guests of the former River Rai Resort now transformed into a fantastic  new concept of  service residences. This is great because it gave us the freedom of not being subject to hotel itineraries and time tables. RRR did not disappoint. Fantastic place to stay. Clean, friendly and luxurious. The villas are self catered with generous sized sleeping quarters and luxurious fittings, spacious modern and meticulously clean. For the nature lovers the river setting is unique. A clear full view of the majestic river Rai and the enchanting natural surroundings, 15 meters from the villa's front door!. We lost track of time reading our books under the shade of the trees, listening to the birds sing in the early morning and enjoying the quiet surroundings. There is also an active river-side life, a short ride up the river but we were more interested in having a peaceful stay. The owners Sarah and Greg are very attentive and knowledgeable and were much helpful with making our stay just perfect. It is a unique gem of a place which we fully recommend for those who like being close to  nature with the comforts of the modern life.

Wonderful setting and peaceful surroundings

This was our first time and what a treasure. I think it has since turned int long term stay facility which would be even more of a gem. They could not have been more hospitable. The place is beautiful and immaculate, wish we could have stayed longer. Peaceful oasis!!
