37 reviewsIt is set quite a long way back from the main road, maybe 50m. It's right at the back. It looks inviting from outside. Inside it mostly looks like a typical English pub but some of it looks as if it's being renovated! There are horse brasses and typical English things on the walls. As others have noted, there are no deliveries of beer at the weekend. It is Guinness and Kilkenny. But there was still some Guinness left when we visited. It was moderately full, people kept coming in and out. It has a restaurant in a separate room, but that's not why we came here to eat in a separate room. So we ate at the bar. The food was OK, Sunday roast. I realized I had not eaten a Sunday roast for 25-30 years. So it was a nostalgia trip, even in Thailand. It was great to have lots of vegetables on the plate, after being in Asia for so long. But the roast lamb was a little disappointing, it lacked flavor, but it was frozen I guess. It's very hot inside so there are many fans, this cools down your meal quite fast too. But the food was OK, great to eat Yorkshire Puddings again. Yes just average, but no problems apart from meat a little tasteless and not hot.
