Fantastic boutique hotel in the middle of stone town. Staff were all fantastic and the room was exactly as in the photos. Loved the little historical items especially the coffee themed ones. Highly recommended

The bathroom and the bedroom is far apart, so it was inconvenient every time I used it, Also the water in the shower room and sink was running low, making it very inconvenient to use too

A very comfortable hotel in the middle of Stone Town. We were greeted warmly and felt happy to be there the second we walked in. Good coffee and pastries. Very friendly staff. Spacious room and we are happy to have chooses this hotel. 

Great Hotel in Stone Town

We had a really bad experience at the hotel. Our bathroom was outside the room, pretty far from the room. During check out the women from the hotel carried our luggage through 2 floors downstair and non men helped them and us. We booked a transfer with the hotel - payed 50 dolars to the hotel - to take us to the other side of the island. We payed in advance and got a receipt from the hotel. The driver came with a tshirt from the hotel. He didn’t carried our luggage to the car - we had to walk about five blocks carrying our luggage. The driver parked in a non parking zone and his car was locked. We waited for more than 30 minutes inside the car without any notice from the driver. Then he called another car, an usual car not a transfer, to take us. The hotel didn’t reimbursed us and the cost of the driver was 30 dolars (I dare the hotel to show us that they transfer the 50 dolars to this simple taxi driver). And after that we had to hear from the hotel and the first driver that we were drunk and didn’t know we were saying, that the driver is not an employee from hotel so they couldn’t do anything and so on. I have everything printed! There are many hotels on the area much better located and probably with a much much better service.

何より特筆すべきは、従業員の方々全員、非常に感じがよく、とってもフレンドリーでした！サービスも申し分なかったです。建物の造りは古いものの、各お部屋の名前がコーヒーにちなんだ名前であったり、天蓋ベッドやさりげなく飾られている小物にセンスが感じられました。朝食会場となっているルーフットップのカフェはストーンタウンの町が一望でき、たいへん素晴らしかったです！唯一の難点は、街の中に立地していることもあり、石畳の道路をスーツケースで移動するのは大変です。ドライバーさんにお願いして運んでもらうようお願いすれば問題は解決できます。All staff members were so friendly and great!!!I really enjoyed my stay there!!The room was also nice and reasonable.Breakfast on roof top was amazing, you can enjoy  beautiful scenery of  Stonetown there.If you would like to go out for shopping, this hotel is suitable because it is located almost the center of Stonetown and you can access most of all attractive restaurants, shops and beach by walk.Since the hotel is located at the fron of a small street, it is difficult  to come in by car so you have to bring your luggage by yourself or ask a driver to carry.I strongly recommend you to stay this hotel anyway!!

If you like the intensity of stone town but with a romantic look and a top of the top service this is the best place in town we stay only one night as we are traveling to Pemba but it have be a great moment of comfort and the top coffee machine will make it stand out from other places don’t forget to go to the roof terrace for the over view of the city

Lovely little hotel with coffee named rooms! We were in moccachino and machiato I think! Both ensuite - one double and one twin.

Lovely welcome and very grateful for one room being ready early. Perfect for us to shower up after 20 hours of travel!

Please note taxis can not get to the hotel (most hotels this applies to) and we had to walk with our luggage the last part of the way through narrow streets.

These are traditional style quaint rooms. Hot water but low pressure. It's what you would expect in an old town but served it's purpose perfectly

Breakfast was good choices if non veg/eat egg but my parents did struggle a little for choice as they don't eat eggs. The lovely smiley lady serving was so friendly and kind. Coffees incredible.

We ate lunch in the cafe once. My panini was not great but hubbys chapati wrap was nice.

We had an amazing experience with the coffee plantation rep (I think his name was Abdul). He gave my family and I a lovely class about coffee production and we roasted some beans that we each got to bring home a bit of!

We did buy bags of coffee - lots of bags but they were unable to do any discounts on this. They are on sale in the airport cafe for the same price so can get there also.

The smiley ladies working behind the scenes make this place. They are incredibly strong. Smiles even stronger. So friendly. Loved seeing Filomena housekeeping daily. Went out of our way to help us. Turndown service with mosquito nets and repellant was great. Filtered water in the rooms and able to fill water bottles upstairs and in cafe. 

There are lots of stairs so exert caution if mobility issues. Being pregnant, I was a little out of puff getting to the terrace for
 breakfast but worth it for the views.
