We spent a week in Sharazad Boutique Hotel in Feb 25 and it was truly fantastic. The hotel is very clean, bungalow nicely decorated, with extra outside shower, cozy, and the location directly on the white sandy beach is awesome. The employees are very friendly and smiley. Food was very good. In summary, our stay was completely relaxing and unforgettable. We highly recommend this small and peaceful boutique hotel with all the amenities we can desire, and more ! Thank you !

fantastic place

I loved the perfect balance between the authenticity and modern comfortability. More often we see hotels which have ultra modern finishing which puts you out of place. This place has cleverly focused on what is important to make you comfortable yet staying in tune to offering the Zanzibar way of life.
Staff were very professional and nice. The food was on point. Portions large, fresh, full of flavour and quick service. 
Having the 3 pools and different areas helps diffuse the size of the place. Making it more relaxing. Quick or direct access to a nice beach.

Beautiful setting, an island paradise!
Came here with friends from all different locations around the world. Had a fabulous reunion.
Had two yoga sessions every day with a lot of sunbathing, swimming in the pools and relaxing.

Yoga retreat in Sharazad

We (2 adults and 2 children 16/14) have a brilliant 9 night stay at Sharazad. Such a beautiful place. The rooms were well equipped and comfortable beds. Very clean and the housekeeping staff were amazing. The restaurant had excellent choice of food and quality, with good service and always happy staff willing to serve you. It was a relaxed place, we tried a few otehr restaurants up and down the beach too. A special mention to Monica who was the manager, always happy to talk, offer advice and make sure your time at Sharazad was all you were hoping for. It felt a very safe place, and even those locals on the beach selling trips of souvenirs were very pleased just to talk to you-no hassle-pole pole. We went on 2 trips organised through the hotel to the turtles and snorkelling very reasonably priced. Couldn't ask for more-and we will be back as soon as we can.

Excellent 9 night stay made special by all the wonderful staff.

We truly felt as though we'd slipped into a chapter of the Arabian Nights, luxury edition. Looking out on the Indian Ocean, the ancient and the uber modern merged into one view. The staff became like family. Nuru Spa, just steps away, offered the best massage in Tanzania. Our last night's dinner was beneath a large canopy on the beach, adorned with flowers and palm branches, and lantern-lit. Perfect ending to a perfect trip.

The hotel is located directly on the beach and is very well laid out so that it’s never crowded anywhere. The grounds are very lush with well-established tropical gardens providing shaded areas for the rooms. There is a troop of inquisitive Red Colobus monkeys that live on the property. There are 2 restaurants, 3 swimming pools, a watersports Centre, a yoga shala and a spa all inside the property. The rooms are very comfortable and clean with big walk-in showers and comfortable beds. The staff are very warm and friendly and the food at the restaurant is excellent. This hotel is highly recommended!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The staff, the views, the food, and the tranquility make this such an amazing choice when visiting Zanzibar. They do such a great job of really offering a local
experience, yet it still feels like a four star establishment. If you want a standard hotel with TV and AC then this isn’t the place. If you want the best resort on the island that truly let’s you experience this magical land, then look no further.

A true Zanzibar Experience!

Our group of ten had the most amazing time at the beach front accommodations at Sharazad. We held a yoga and safari retreat and this relaxed boutique hotel was the perfect way to wind down and relax from our big adventure. The rooms are beautiful with an amazing view of the Indian Ocean and white sand beach. The staff is so incredibly friendly and accommodating. I especially loved working with Frank and Jackie, who went out of their way to make our stay special. They have a beautiful yoga space right on the beach and Nuru spa is attached for an excellent massage experience. They set up a special private dinner for us under a beautifully decorated tent for our last night. Our stay was so special. This was our second time bringing a group to Sharazad and we will definitely come back again!

A Beautiful Space to Relax and Unwind on the Beach!

Greeted by an excellent team of employees, the 3 J's!!!  last stop on a packed 3 wk adventure.  Nice beach just to relax or do any watersports. ie kite surfing.  
Room was perfect and clean, comfy beds.  resto with amazing food. EMPLOYEES WERE AMAZING AND SO FRIENDLY. miss it already. highly recommend it
