I have never been living there, only been eating in the resturant a few times with good friends, good food and nice personal. Very nice place, a bit away from the town and its noise....

Spent a night before starting my safari.... nice and quiet place to relax after a long fight and before starting a week long safari.

Really enjoyed my stay and the food was really amazing... all the facilities of a hotel, yet a complete home atmosphere.  what I liked most about the place the open space they have around... you can have your meal sitting wherever you want to.  the staff are extremely helpful and every smiling.  John and Estha are wonderful people.

room is small yet well equipped... sleep quality is good.  Good interior too.

will definitely return if I get a chance.

Stayed here for two nights before and one night after hiking Kilimanjaro.  Everything about our stay was simply amazing.  The service was impeccable; everyone was so friendly and helpful with everything.  Breakfast and dinner were fantastic.  (The staff made us a custom dinner one night so we could have traditional Tanzanian food).  The rooms are really cute with well functioning bathrooms. (if your water pressure in the shower is low, just remind them to turn back on the water pump).  On our night after finishing the Kilimanjaro, we enjoyed wine on the patio while reading before dinner; so incredibly relaxing and the best way to wind down after our hike.  Thanks to everyone at the hotel for a wonderful stay!

sofar the best hotel on our tour through Tanzania. excellent and spacy suite we are leaving in. clean and comfortable.
food is superbe but not cheap. the management is highly competent and helpfull. they organised several tours for us. we extended our stay because of the professional and fast way they act.
we can recommend it for a luxury stay at Arusha!

The best accommodation so far in arusha. Everything is with details. I am in love with my room. Big, spacious , wonderful bathtub, just amazing ! The food is so tasty and delicious again with details ... the presentation was incredible.. nothing to top up! Service very good and of course the owner is amazing , she is there all the time to help and make sure that her customers get the best . Thank u so much Rashida, We really enjoyed our stay and definitely we are going to be back soon ! 

The Bayleaf Hotel, now The Eight, is a gem in the heart of Arusha. Sitting off the main road in a quiet leafy environment, The Eight offers a serene environment to relax and unwind. The hosts are warm and friendly (Hi Rasheeda) and stop at nothing to make you feel as comfortable as you deserve. 

The rooms (I stayed in the Sydney Suite) - has  a very unique urban / rustic theme. The decor is very decent. The bed is significantly big and the shower room is amazing! I was very impressed as the pictures displayed on their website show exactly what the rooms are like, if not better.

The food is awesome, and the portions are really generous!!!! The hotel gives you options to eat in your room or at the restaurant or balcony lounge.

We were very impressed with The Eight and I could definitely recommend it for anyone wishing  to stay in Arusha.

Prices are totally pocket friendly!!
