Situated in the idyllic township of Ji-An in Hualien county, this B&B epitomises the peace and tranquillity of the Taiwanese countryside!  With the mountainous ranges in the backdrop, and a lagoon surrounded by ducks and geese (at least I think they are a form of geese!?) it is a haven for the whole family.  The kids can feed the various wildlife to their hearts content (the feeds are free).   If you would like some exercise, you can go for a walk or take advantage of the free bike hire to ride around the Ji-An countryside.  

There are a number of room options from standalone ground units to even converted RVs!  The staff is wonderful and display the usual friendly Taiwanese hospitality :) 

Truly a wonderful stay and would definitely be back!  Highly recommended!

Peace and tranquillity in Hualien county!

Amazing lake view welcomes your morning at this friendly bed and breakfast. The host prepared for each room a special essential oil which was very relaxing for us exhausted travelers. The room was spacious with high ceilings which was less oppressive. Loved it!

Family Trip at Summer Rock

Excellent stay! Nice n beautiful environment and scenery. Friendly owner. Our son enjoyed feeding ducks,goat n fish right at the property. Highly recommended. Kids wont get bored. Boss still provide our son with bubble play. Must come!

Wonderful stay!

環境優美的世外桃源，湖畔的鴨子和過路的飛鳥都成為怡人風景的一部分。小朋友也非常享受餵鴨，抓蝦和與羊互動和騎腳踏車的活動。房間和衛浴都很舒適，早餐也頗有水準，大人小孩都很開心。一定會找更多家人再次造訪！
Very beautiful and pleasant villa for family trip.  The room is right beside the lake. The fresh air and the mountian view are worth every penny.  Very welcoming and friendly owner with a nice place to stay.  Specially recommended the essential oil here. Will definitely come again.

世外桃源 heaven on earth 

We were here with another couple of friends and we really appreciated this hotel : nicely decorated room, clean, comfortable, the calm, the little lake, free bikes for kids and adults...

The members are also very friendly. We really felt at ease. Besides, the breakfast was very yummy with fresh fruits. 

We really recommend this place.



Very nice and friendly place

A perfect place if you want to stay in the hotel room for whole day!
Nice environmental and comfortable room. Just lie on the bed and watch the sky and mountains outside the window after hiking. Room is clean and big!

Wonderful vacation home

Our family tour taiwan for more than 10 days and stayed at various hotels and accommodations. Of them all - Summer Rock B&B leaves the most memorable experience with all members of our family and hence a 'MUST' stay in our opinion. Right from the planning of the trip, the photos were just captivity that we'd even adjust our itinerary just to stay here, and boy - were we right to have made the adjustments!

The room is spacious and comfortable, stylishly designed, with a balcony overlooking the pond with ducks. In the morning is when the activities and fun begins. We could cycle around the area on their provided bikes and we were provided food to feed the 2 dogs and the ducks in the pond. It's such an experience that our kids did that on the 2nd morning. 

The scenery with mountains as backdrop is breathtaking and the breakfast was sumptuous. The owners are semi-retirees and they are very hospitable. A place not to be missed.

A MUST Stay...

B&B - Only 10 rooms in the whole establishment, so you will be guaranteed the peace and quiet. It’s a “small” 2-floor building with a huge piece of land over facing a lake (with ducks that the owner feeds!) The view is just breathtaking as the space is well-maintained. The owners, a retired couple are amazing people, so super friendly.. in fact the husband kept volunteering to take photos for us at the most ideal spots with the best view. 

Room - Spacious, clean and good layout. The top floor rooms come with a little balcony, and there are chairs available so you can just sit out and take in all the fresh air and enjoy the greenery view. Bathroom also comes with shower and bathtub. They also offer daily housekeeping, and toiletries are also replenished. 

Breakfast - Our package comes with home-cooked breakfast. You are given a menu to select the night before, and the food is freshly prepared when you arrive in the morning. We had pork burger, fresh cut fruits and brewed coffee. We enjoyed it! 

All-in-all, we had a relaxing 2-night stay. The owners are such warm and friendly people. They are at the lobby every morning to greet us and to make sure we are well settled in and comfortable. I would definitely come back here again if I ever visit Hualien again.
