One of the best stays ever. First we planed to stay only one night but after Vlasta suggest us what to see and do we stayed 2 nights and it was excellent decision :) You can visit from there both Materhorn and Gletscher.  Hotel is on big hill so you have beautiful view, room is big and clean. But the biggest surprise is Vlasta, she really helped us and make us feel like we are at home:) Thank you and we hope to see you soon!

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The view from the sofa on the terrace outside the room was amazing.The hotel is located at the top of the hill so you look out over the town, vallley and mountains.    We sat there for a few hours and enjoyed the view and the quietness.  Room was large, quiet and clean and there was an excellent powerful shower.  The staff were very friendly and helpfull.  Directly opposite the hotel there is an excellent restaurant which I would recommend.

This is another place I booked based on price, and like other visitors realised a bit late it was a tad out of town.  I soon also realised that this wasn't going to be a problem as there is a reasonable post bus service to Reid-Brig.

I was on the "ground" floor where my "room" was provided with a modern facilities in an interesting decor, although maybe not as "interesting" as some others. And with a veranda out front where I could sit and look at the sun setting over brig and the restaurant in front (I never tried it)

I was travelling to Zermatt the day after arriving and slept in a tad and missed the bus I meant to get down to town, so decided to follow the sign posts in to town. In a few places I did struggle to deduce what the intended route was but I made it into town in around 30 mins.

That evening I took the bus up to Roswald Tallstation to see what was there and then wandered up the old Simplon pass road to the junction with the new road, and returned in the dark (oops) exploring the area around the hotel was good as there didn't seem to be much in Brig itself.

The small villages all seemed to be slightly different in style and character so I was very glad to see that in my wanders.

I'll be keeping this place in mind as I want to take a proper look up the old Simplon pass, probably with a bike in, only question there is MTB or Road...

We came on the train to Brig for 1 night, and thinking it was within walking distance were slightly panicked when we realised it was up the mountain. However the tourism info was very helpful and told us the right bus to get, which came fairly regularly. It was signed, but still hard to find and we were walking the wrong direction before a friendly local stopped to help! Everyone in the area was really friendly and had good english. The hotel was very quiet with beautiful views, and nicely decorated with flowers and looked very traditional. Tea, coffee facilities were provided with a clean bathroom, and clean bedding, and all the rooms have amazing front facing balconies with amazing views. The lady running the hotel went out of her way to help us, looking up buses to get to a restaurant as there is little nearby and we had no car. She ended up driving us to our meal! Breakfast was quite pricey but there werent many other options than going back down to Brig, and did include a nice variety. For the price we paid it felt very professional, safe and relaxing. I would definitely go back, but maybe with a car and for longer to explore the beautiful region.

A very unique hotel where you can hold a family piano concert at the salon and get tickled by some 50 doctor fish.
We also enjoyed all fresh foods at breakfast over Bach played by Glenn Gould.
The hotel is named after the great composer after all (we guess).
The owner and staffs were very friendly and helpful.
It's a pity that their hardware is not as good as their software.
A small investment is needed especially in bathrooms so that entire floor may not be wet after taking shower.
