Me and my son, we loved staying at Lehmann's hostel. It always felt like a cozy family business throughout. I loved the little rules they had around the place, for shoes, for maintaining hygiene, for lights, etc. It is located in a quiet corner as if hanging from the cliff. With all restaurants and amenities around (cable car, bus stand, railway station, children playground, supermarkets). We enjoyed very much the breakfast as well. Small spread, but nice. We had a room with a bink bed, and my son enjoyed the room and the balcony. Overall, I think I will go back to stay with Franzike if I go to Gridenlwald againg. No TV in the room was a great thing as well.

Lovely place, lovely host, beautiful corner

We have absolutely loved this place. Breakfast, service, trip recommendations, cleanliness, friendliness, view from our room were all outstanding. The quality to price ratio, even more if one considers the average price of a stay in Grindelwald, is impressive. 
Also, the covid policies are taken very seriously, we felt very safe during our trip.

Outstanding stay in Grindelwald

Honestly, it does not get any better than this.
The Lehmann’s Herbege is is family friendly, the host is so helpful and nice and the location is super typical.
We stayed 2 nights and everything was really nice: the breakfast is plenty, the WiFi very good and when you wake up you have a wonderful view of the Eiger.
Not cheap but not expensive either for our family ( in comparison to the rest ).
I would definitely come back. Thank you !

Central, scenic and fantastic guest

My mother and I stayed in a double room with a shared bathroom and even if we are not used to share our bathroom during our vacation we loved the place !
All the Bed & Breakfast is very clean, well maintained, nice and cozy, with a magnificent view on the surrounding mountains.
The host are very nice, the breakfast perfect with a very tasty Bircher muesli.
The hostel is very well located in the heart of Grindelwald.
The price paid is also really reasonable for the summer season.
Overall we loved our stay here and definitely will come back.

Very cozy stay in Grindelwald

Going to Switzerland for a summer holiday. And at Grindelwald, there is a little place down the road where a welcoming couple stay. In the room, the beds are quite soft, the pillow being a little flat. There is a bathroom inside and a couple of wardrobes with hangers inside. Enough to store clothes and other bits.

Outside of the room, there is a little common area for people where you can charge devices and chill out. Outside of the building there is a stunning view of mountains and the Eiger the north face that is. Upstairs, there is a breakfast with quite a lot to choose from. Cereal, bread, a coffee machine, fruits and a lot more!

I would recommend this place for anyone popping by in Grindelwald and need a couple of nights so sleep at.

Comfortable and warm

I stayed here with two of my kids -- one young adult, one teen -- for four nights in late March / early April.  Franzi and Marco are wonderful hosts; we felt comfortable and welcome, and were grateful for excellent guidance on local activities.  Our room was very nice -- spare and clean -- and the view from our windows was extraordinary.   My daughter has said that her favorite scene, from a week in Switzerland (Grindelwald, then Zurich), was the view through the window from her top-bunk bed at Lehmann's.  She's right -- the view was extraordinary: mountains all around; at night, some lights twinkling against a thick, late-spring snowfall -- and, one night, a full moon over all that!   None of us will ever forget that scene.  Breakfast was lovely: I'm missing the homemade muesli and Easter cake . . ..   Lehmann's offered great value for a reasonably priced, centrally located room.  I hope we're lucky enough to return sometime!  Thanks, Franzi and Marco.

Friendly, family-run B&B in a gorgeous location

Location is quite good, 5-8 mins from the train station. 
Owner is nice and helpful, we went to Jungfrau in early morning, so she packed our breakfast for take-away. 
Room rate is affordable given it is in Switzerland.
The view is good, decoration is good.
Just one thing, the wall is too thin, we can hear our neighbors in the next room open/ close the door, etc.

Quite good

Stayed one night in a double room with superb view of the mountains. Tastefully decorated, even with a writing desk! Good breakfast in another tastefully decorated room. Central location only a few minutes walk to station and cable car. Plentiful hot water in the shared shower. Recommended.

Tasteful in several ways

My sister and I stayed here for 4 nights, the room was clean, breakfast was lovely, and the room rate was affordable for us. Franzi was very friendly and helpful, she is up-to date with the weather everyday (!) which is really useful for our hiking planning. Absolutely love Grindelwald, what a peaceful lovely town (we were there in June). Would definitely come back again, who said you have to spend a fortune to stay in an iconic swiss chalet in the alps? :)

Wonderful place with great host. Lovely view. Its within walking distance to the first flyer cable car up...... loads of places to rent bicycles.... cosy place to hang out right at the mountains
Recommended for family and solo traveller as well.....
