We stayed one night in this hotel and though the location is unbeatable (right on the shore of the most amazing lake ever) the experience was not great.

We were received and attended by a very nice guy that is also the restaurant person. He was very kind.

Our room was small and minimally equipped, which for us is alright. Wifi key was not written anywhere, we had to ask, and to ask you have to go down (no frills). 
We booked a room without a view and we did not any view, and that was still ok. 

However, when going to sleep there was a noise, constantly renewing, like a coffee machine cleaning itself, constantly, which was not periodic and made falling asleep difficult because it was very loud. Moreover, our neighbors upstairs made a hell lot of noise and did not let us sleep until well past midnight. The pillows were also very strange. So we did not rest at all, and that was the point of going there...

The guy was nice but the experience not super amazing...

We wanted to see the beautiful Obersee so we thought we would have lunch at this Hotel/Restaurant overlooking the lake.
Good decision. 
The view was obviously great and the food really good!
We highly recommend to take a rest here!

Lunch

The hotel is in a nice quiet spot along the Obersee lake; the views are really quite spectacular and there are plenty of hiking routes available to explore the area around. Overall, the staff were very friendly and accommodating and the rooms were very nice (although one room did have a funky smell). 
The only real downside is the drive! If you are not used to driving along the mountainside it can be quite the harrowing experience as getting to the hotel requires a 7km trek up a winding cliff-side road that is only barely wide enough to allow for two-way traffic in most places, and in some places is only wide enough for one car.

Beautiful location

The Berghotel Obersee is both a hotel, as the name implies, and a restaurant. It is clean and well maintained. WiFi is available and good signal throughout. There are no TVs in the rooms or in the restaurant.

The view on the lake side of the hotel is quite spectacular but comes with the downside of being right above the restaurant terrace which can be noisy until 11 PM or so. If it is not too hot you can close the windows and solve the problem.

Breakfast is included and is pretty good, the staff are for the most part friendly.

Nearby there are numerous hiking trails you can also swim in the lake or even fish in it.

It is hard to judge the price as everything in Switzerland is very expensive.

Finally, a note to those who don't have much experience driving up mountains. The road to the hotel is 7km of narrow serpentine road up the hill (the hotel is roughly 1000m / 3300 ft above sea level). Traffic flows in both directions but in many spots the road is only wide enough for one car.

Beautiful View

I recently had a business trip in Mollis, and booked an overnight stay in this location. Quiet place to stay, unforgettable lookout toward mountains and lake. My room was facing the lake, a great view in the morning. Room with enough space, bathroom very clean. No TV, but free WIFI was available. I also tried the restaurant for dinner. Meat meal with beer. Staff was friendly. Would come again
