Stayed 18 nights, through Christmas & New Year into January. All I can say is.....I absolutely love this place. 
Prabath and her husband (and two young sons) are just delightful. Make sure you try her breakfast pancakes😋😋

Set back 100 metres from the beach road, it's wonderfully quiet, with the background sound of the waves breaking on the beach. Out on the balcony you're surrounded by banana trees, Palms and a veritable jungle. Two of the three rooms have aircon (silent & effective). Bathroom would grace an expensive hotel, and you can open the door and windows for a panoramic 'jungle' view. 

The kitchen is a great facility. I cooked every other night and most days for breakfast. 

There's a resident Peacock one roof away. Well-behaved (doesn't squawk ) and likes showing off his plumage to the ladies.

At night, walking along the lane, there are so many fireflies in the vegetation, lizards & toads occasionally daytime, and plenty of friendly locals along the lane, which is completely safe. 

I'll be back in Mirissa next year and will stay again. Won't even look anywhere else. Thoroughly recommend. A great find.

What a Wonderful 'find'

We enjoyed Methusha so much we wanted to extend our stay there. The room was a bargain, and for a very cheap price we got a clean and beautiful room. It does get quite hot inside once the sun starts shining in, so then you know it's time to hit the beach, which is conveniently located just across the main street. Sleeping in the room was very comfortable as there was zero noise from outside. The breakfast was made for our liking, which was very kind of the owners. We also used the laundry service and bought tickets to Chaminda's Whale Watching Tour (five stars for them as well). So far this was the best guest house we've stayed in! We even felt a bit saddened to leave Methusha and Mirissa behind...

Kind service with comfortable rooms

Although it was not easy to find this accomodation on that road I am very glad we decided to stay here. Young couple is taking care of this house and they are so kind! You can ask young landlord if she would prepare her wonderful pancakes for you and I think she just smile and say it is no problem. Her husband took us on our request early in the morning to see stick fishermen in Weligama by their tuk-tuk. Those rooms must be built very recently as everything was new and clean. And it is really not so far from the beach.

I wish every accomodation would be like this

We stayed in guest houses all over Sri Lanka so we had a lot to compare to. The rooms are clean and bright, the young couple helpful and always available, and it’s in a terrific location only minutes from the beach but far enough away that it’s very quiet at night.

On the downside, we found the ventilation in the room not enough with just with a fan and we were very hot while in the room, plus the morning light streams in through the glass door that has no coverings. In addition, the breakfast was ok but not great compared to amazing breakfasts we have had,
