We stayed with Sithi for 2 nights whilst travelling Sri Lanka. He was so helpful before we even arrived and helped us sort an airport transfer as well as various other excursions. He helped us with Dambulla Caves, Sigiriya Rock, Pidurangula Rock and Hurulu safari for elephants. The location is literally perfect for all the local sights and the room was clean and comfortable. The village was walkable and had a few restaurants and shops. We really liked it here as there was so much to do in the area. Sithi’s wife is an amazing cook - make sure you have dinner at theirs! Thank you for everything Sithi!

Great location, great host, unbelievable value for money

This is an amazing stay in Sigiriya.
When we arrived, the owner invited us for a personal sightseeing tour, recommended some nice restaurants, and offered his services to arrange anything from a safari, to transport to our next destination.

The breakfast was also very tasty, and enjoyed on the terrace surrounded by the sounds of birds in the morning.

Amazing host, location, and room

Sithi and his wife and son were great company for our homestay. If you want to meet a lovely family on your travels here and feel like a local of Sigiriya, this is the place. Sithi offered to pick us up at any time, and organised things simply when we needed and without pressure- finding us a cheaper government-run project to do a night walk to see slow lorises as soon as we got there, without us even asking. 
Breakfast was excellent every day, and copious pots of tea whenever you ask. We definitely were undercharged for lifts. Very generous, honest hosts. 
We’d come here again any day, loved it. 

Welcoming, homely and generous hosts 

Sithi and his family were very welcoming. They organised taxis for us and cooked us a delicious dinner for a very affordable price. He gave us a lift to Pidurangala Rock in his tuk tuk free of charge, which was very kind! I’d highly recommend booking to stay here as it’s a convenient location to get to local attractions and the owners are so generous and friendly!

A lovely homestay with everything you need

Are you looking for the best place to stay in Sigiriya? 
Sithi is your man. He is outgoing, friendly, and damn good at planning. Sri Lanka is already the most helpful place, but Sithi rises to the top. He speaks perfect English and went above and beyond, while not being over bearing. I'm glad I met him. 
We stayed in a big room with three beds, which was perfect for us. AC, good wifi, and literally the best breakfast I've had here. He drove us around and refused extra money! It felt like staying at a buddies house.
I wish I could stay here longer.

Looking For The Best?

This little home stay has everything you need; air conditioning, bed, bathroom with hot water, mosquito net and a lovely breakfast. The best thing about this place is the host and his family. 
The host is absolutely amazing and helps you with everything! He arranged tours for us, drove us to restaurants and picked us up when we were done eating, all free of charge. He and his wife, and their little boy is a very warm and nice family who makes you feel welcome! Thank you so much for having us!

Such a nice experience!

The hosts are fantastic and the room is also good. Danushka was able to sort out everything for us: tuk-tuk hire for the day, elephant safari, taxi at 5am for a sunrise hike, lift to the train station. All for a good price. But the real star of the show is his wife who made absolutely fantastic food throughout our stay. Breakfast and dinner was always amazing and such good variety. We actually felt slightly guilty when the bill came as it is some of the best food we had and also one of the cheapest. 
The room was very clean with AC which kept it nice and cool. There’s also a small garden area to relax in. The accommodation is around 20 min walk to Lion Rock but a tuk-tuk is very cheap.

Danushka’s place is awesome.

I booked through Airbnb and it is a fantastic place to base yourself in Sigiriya, close to Dambulla and Pollonaruwa.

Danushka and his wife are fantastic hosts and the rooms are clean and very comfortable. The food was absolutely amazing, breakfast and dinner was great and the whole place is real good value for money.

Danushka went above and beyond in trying to organise our trips for us, enabling us to pay cheaper prices on places we wanted to visit and gave us loads of tips along the way. I have never experienced such kindness and amazing hospitality before, you really need to book this place if staying in Sigiriya or around the area!

Danushka and his wife were the perfect hosts for us. He also took us to ayurveda centre in his tuk tuk free of cost 
Food was great. 
We luckily got the family room which was massive. 
The place is located amidst nature in the peace and tranquil locality. 
Rooms and bathrooms were massive, bed was comfortable.

We stayed 2 nights and were very well looked after. Delicious food and host friendly and helpful. They also have an amazing family room with AC three double beds and shady verandah. Might come back soon with the whole family. Highly recommended
