We booked our room and requested airport pickup (which I confirmed the morning of our day of travel). After a short wait, we were met at the airport by the taxi and taken to the very comfortable  and pleasant Drift BNB. The private room is basic, with a comfortable bed, AC and standing fan, a clean bathroom and towels/shampoo/soap provided. The staff are helpful and pleasant and the location is good for getting around. We stayed four nights so that we could see a few sights, acclimate, and get our visas extended. Breakfast was included and was also simple (eggs/toast/fruit/tea or smoothie bowl). Filtered water was also available. WiFi was mostly acceptable, but we haven’t found any that is that great anywhere in the country. I would definitely recommend Drift as an affordable and pleasant stay in Colombo. 

Affordable and Pleasant

Loved everything about Drift - from the clean modern spacious room to the comfortable mattress to the Greek mode architecture. It's a perfect stop for a traveler to Colombo.

Located near Barefoot. We enjoyed an early morning walk to nearby Mitzi Delicacies for breakfast. 

Super comfy and awesome location

I stayed for two nights in this bright, relaxed junglaow. One of my favourite rooms in SL. 
I loved the clever use of lots of succulent and tropical plants against minimalist white walls and round the stairwell create a airy light haven against the traffic craziness of Galle Road. 
It was a huge, clean room and huge comfy bed- pillows were very soft- and a small modern bathroom with rainhead shower. Aircon was all (icy) or nothing (sticky hot), but there was a giant fan. Room faced Galle Road, but the was little traffic or noise over night....
Great base for a couple of days exploring Colombo. Staff weren’t the most interactive, but ho hum!
They do have a water cooler to fill your own water bottles- BIG TICK! Didn’t have breakfast. 
Would stay again and defo recommend

Calm in Colombo

We spent 1 night here during a 24hr stop over between Kochi and London. The room was very clean and well equipped with good AC and brilliant shower. The staff were very helpful and breakfast delicious. The central location made it very easy to see some of Colombo's sights on such a short visit

Enjoyable short stay

Had one night in the city & glad I chose to stay here. Perfect location, clean simple rooms, great breakfast & lovely staff. Super quiet for being right on the road too, will definitely  stay again next time I’m in the city. 

Perfect

It was a 5 good day at Drift BNB. Our Teacher had arranged the stay for 10 families of 2 (10 rooms). Its a big group. Friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the morning breakfast. The juices was really good. Enjoyed the sambal so much. 
Thanks to Drift staff few to name Wijekanth, Mary, Thusitha, Kanna, Arshad and others who helped us through out our stay. 
I stayed on the second level. Room was comfortable and cosy to sleep. Air-con was good to keep the room chill whole day. Bathroom hot shower was good to take at any time. We had a great stay.

Great Stay! Friendly Staff!

Choose this bnb due to good reviews of it. 
The basic amenities like towel, shower gel and shampoo are there but lack of hair dryer or the cable TV is not able to on according to the staff is due to technical issue and not resolve at the time we checked out.
However, I was more affected by the machine operating noise near our room even late in the night, this affect me as a light sleeper even the bed is comfortable. 
The staff is not as friendly or helpful as compare to other accommodation we were staying for the past ten nights in Sri Lanka.
But the pro is the good location. 

Overall, is still value for money if you are not as fussy as I do.
