Saint George

Stayed here from Christmas day to New Years Day and had a fabulous time! The apartments are excellent; modern, stylish and bright. We stayed in 115 which is on the pool level. Entry is through the french doors with a terrace overlooking the pool. Comfortable table and chairs on terrace. Once inside you are in the lounge which is large with a corner sofa (assume this also is a sofa bed) which has a kitchenette at one end. Kitchenette is very well equipped with two electric rings, pans, toaster, kettle, pans and fridge freezer if you do want to self cater. Next room behind is the light and bright shower room. Cloud head shower with plenty of hot water. The bedroom was at the back of the apartment. Quite large, with twin beds pushed together to make a double bed with one duvet each. There is a large wardrobe with hangers.. The window was onto the path at the back of the apartments but has bars so is safe. We had a lemon tree just outside the window. Slept well here, no problems with noise. Residents are asked to be quiet after 10pm (and were). The pool area is a good size with lots of comfortable sunbeds. The pool is near the wall meaning that all the sunbeds are arranged to get sun all day - perfect! At the time of our stay there was no problem getting sunbeds at any time of the day and people were respectful of the no reserving beds rule. There is pool bar that opens in the afternoons and does a snack bar menu for a couple of hours. The pool area was spotlessly clean and I saw the cleaners cleaning it and all the sunbeds every day. Breakfast buffet is plentiful serving all the normal hot and cold options. The cakes were amazing! Location is great, slap bang between Los Cristianos and Americas. You are a short walk from the Playa Vista (should be pointed out that this is down a bank which some people may regard as steep). Great running along the promenade which runs between the two destinations. Turn left out of reception for the 24 hour mini-mart. I would recommend these apartments if you are self sufficient and independent. We had a thoroughly relaxing time and enjoyed the quiet. They seemed particularly popular with the Scandis over this period. Totally delivered everything we wanted; really surprised by how much we enjoyed the area too!
