My experience was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend it at all. Initially, I had booked a double room with a double bed. However, a few hours before my booking and arrival at the hotel, I received an email informing me that the room I had reserved and paid for was not available. I was only made aware of this upon reaching the hotel and checking into my room, where I was informed that only a single room was available. I was told that if I was not satisfied, I could cancel without incurring any fees. This was particularly upsetting as I had made my booking a month in advance, especially during Fashion Week when options were limited for same-day bookings.
Furthermore, the room was not clean, had a bad smell, and the bed was not properly made. When I expressed my disappointment to the customer service, the agent only offered to cancel without providing a real solution or showing any empathy.
Ultimately, we agreed on a discounted price since the room I had originally booked was more expensive than the one provided. However, there was no gesture made in response to my situation, and efforts to rectify the situation were lacking. Even with regards to reimbursement, I have yet to receive the full amount. This experience was truly disappointing. Madrid offers many wonderful places to stay, and Numa Script is definitely not one of them.

Horrible Experience at Numa Hotel in Madrid

The property was clean, soaps and lotions were provided, the digital communication worked well, and it is in a good area.  They also had a good suggestion for a ride to the airport, which we used. I recognize this is a Pension, but the three-star rating is because the room is very small, and the rates are way overpriced: over $300.00 for a Saturday night. After getting there, I realized that a 4-star hotel, Villa Real, 150 meters from the location, had true 4-star rooms and services for about the same price. We won't use this brand again, due to such small room sizes and overpricing.

Road and building under construction. Very noisy. Very noisy all the time since rooms are not sound proof. You hear doors closing and other travelers using the public kitchen. There is no lobby. Place runs like an overpriced hostel. Great location. Nice bed. Shower way too cramped

Nice location- loved view out our window. Good coffee shop next door.

What I didn't like about the property is that although there is a window in your room, it looked out into another window in the building directly across the way. However, the good part of this is at least this window opened and no noise to mention whatsoever during my stay. You can easily adapt after staying for a day.  The accommodation was very clean including the breakfast common area; the breakfast choices and being able to select these ahead of check-in were most appreciated and well-represented along with the special morning postcard was a very nice touch; the hotel cleaning staff was most friendly as well as the property manager and her recently appointed new associate both helped me in opening my room safe just before checkout. Thank you again to both of you for being so helpful with getting this safe open so I could make my next connection on time. Martin :)

A  Cheap, safe and well located clean and modern

Comfortable bed with black out shade. Good for a night but not much more. Shower pressure was low. Shower was so small you had to open the door to turn around. Check in was on WhatsApp. Kinda weird. Good location.

I recently stayed here and had a truly awful experience. The biggest issue was the falsely advertised air conditioning. Despite booking a room specifically listed as air-conditioned, the AC in my room simply did not function. This made the room unbearably hot and uncomfortable.

 I immediately contacted the front desk, where I was assured that a technician would be sent to fix the issue. No technician ever came. I followed up multiple times and was told I would receive a call from a supervisor, but that also never happened.

Feeling misled and frustrated, I requested a full refund due to this being a case of false advertising. Sadly, I received no response whatsoever.

 The combination of the broken AC, false promises about repairs, and nonexistent customer service made for a miserable stay.  I strongly advise that the hotel listing be updated to accurately reflect the lack of working air conditioning, or, preferably, that the problem be fixed immediately.

 I'm extremely disappointed by this experience and hope that sharing my feedback will prevent other travelers from having a similarly negative stay.

Never stay here. Pay 20-30 euros more, stay in a proper hotel.

Extremely Disappointing Stay, False Advertising, and Abysmal Customer Support

First, I'll say the good stuff: the location is perfect and it was ok clean - if we don't count the small gnats flying around in the tiny bathroom.

The room is pretty small. There's no stuff in the "hostel" - as I said in the subject, this is not a hotel by any means -. 

There's a lot of construction in the street and they don't even mention anything when you make the reservation and they assign that leads to the street. They had the delicacy of leaving two sets of ear plugs in the nightstand.

All the communications with the customer service are via WhatsApp...by the way, THERE'S NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, it's a robot that basically tells you non stop sorry for the inconvenience.

If you need to work while you are in Madrid or you want to stream some TV, well, find a coffee shop or any other place with a better wifi than your room.

Hostel, not a hotel

I only write reviews when the experience is really good, or really poor -- on this occasion this was really poor.

The room on first glance looks well designed, but many issues to note -- first of all, the room name 'panoramic' is a mis-representation of the offer, this would typically mean dual aspect floor to ceiling windows for a full view.

Secondly the wifi did not work for 48 hours, which is almost all of my trip -- the customer service did not even believe me, suggesting nobody else had reported it. It was complete gaslighting, as I asked others in the kitchen area and they were using hotspots, because it was down. This was a big issue, as I had work calls and needed a stable connection.

Thirdly, the shower is designed so you have to hold it when using it. You cannot have a relaxing handsfree shower. I believe this was intentionally installed to save water costs, but it creates a really poor experience -- especially if you have any form of disability. I reported this, but they did not care.

Finally, the amenities (shower gel, shampoo) were empty when I arrived and given the lack of any care in other respects had to buy my own -- don't expect they will be filled for you.

I would avoid Numa at all costs -- aside from a very comfortable bed, the offer is very weak and will leave you disappointed. The customer service is horrific -- but then again, as I see it's a German company it's commonplace in Germany to offer cold and empty support, perhaps this is the real root of the problem.

Avoid.
