When traveling on a budget this is a perfect place to go. Very nice and clean room. Not big but it had all we could ask for. And we’re locked close to metro and shopping and good restaurants. The host was very friendly and helpful. I think we will be back ❤️

We had a nice room with comfortable double bed on the 5th floor. Enough storage space, flat tv.

Reachable with an very old elevator.

2 shared shower-rooms, a kitchen with fridge and gas-oven.

Good wifi.

Good rooms

Me and my husband stayed in the room with a double bed and a small balcony. We were pleasantly surprised of how clean the hostel was and were greeted at the door and offered coffe, tea and was informed that croissants and other baked goods were free of charge. The bathrooms were clean and had notes inside saying "if you are not happy with the conditions of the bathroom please contact the manager and we will clean immediately", which they did if need be. Fresh towels and very quiet. One of the best hostels we have ever stayed in!! Thank you!

Clean, nice view and free croissants!

We stayed at this place for four days last year (fall of 2017). We were barely inside when the host tried to steal our money. We paid in cash upon arrival and only after heated argument did the host give us the full amount of the change back acting like we had given smaller amount. It was quite unsettling and after that we kept our guard and never left any valuables in the room. The place it self was lacking in cleanliness and smoke from the host's apartment kept creeping inside. The washing machine was never available for use as it was always being used by the host. The kitchenette was tiny and the fridge was not very clean. All in all a horrible experience. 

Awful experience

What was good: 1. Location near the metro station 2. when I pointed out that the breakfast is not that is listed6 they came to the shop and brought what I asked within 30 minutes (so please reserve additional time) 3. Clean (with the exception of smell) 4. Relatively good breakfast (fruits, cheese, bread, ham, coffee) - but you need to remind and cook it for yourself

What was bad:  Very overpriced and definitely not recommended. Agree with Vallo from Estonia review which can be found on Booking.com called «Misleading and wrong information». I also experienced that: "1.	The actual size of the room was 1,5 m x 2,8 m= 4,2 m2 2.	The air-condition was actually in the corridor and not in the room. So-called "air-conditioned room" was achieved through the opened window which needs to be opened because the volume of the room (6,9 m3) does not provide sufficient oxygen to survive the night. Thus, the window needs to be open. But the noise that came through this opened window was unbelievable: just opposite (1m) was toilet with shower, kitchen 3 m away, etc. Even normal speech in other rooms was clearly heard." I would add that: 3. Noisy in the night - hotel staff comes at 1:20 am and does smth in the kitchen or in the сorridor; door locking system says "door locked" every time it is closed or open so that you can hear it in the night if somebody comes in or out 4. There is tobacco smell from the opposite apart where the hotel staff lives. All towels are stored there as well so they are with tobacco smell as well 5. At least two rooms have no windows at all 6. There is an animal smell in the room and in the whole premises (the hotel honestly says on the booking description that there is an animal living there - so I confirm that) 7. hotel staff speaks very bad english and in case of most problems says "it is barcelona". I have been to Barcelona before and other hotels are much better. So: this is not Barcelona, it is your hotel only, guys. Same thing with written communication via booking.com - sometimes they reply in Spanish. 8. The kitchen is for 2 people only - so there is 9. Two bathrooms for 6 guests

I also posted similar review on booking.com, and the host answered that this is because i lost some money at his property. I am not including this incident here, because probably the money was stolen in metro. But the fact that the host is not addressing to the exact problems but rather blaming  the guests. If you do not believe me, just book this apartment and experience this yourself) Do not forget to share your experience here though.

travel in summer 2016

awfull and overpriced

As a couple looking to travel cheaply this was a good option. The room was clean and owner was nice and helpful. This is a hostel at the end of the day, so of course it can't be perfect. But we had a nice time. It is a bit of a walk to les Rambles but that's not a bad thing. It's also right next door to a little convenience store and pharmacy which is super convenient. We would stay again.
