22 reviewsCheongpung Resort Lake Hotel was surprisingly a pleasant accommodation for a short getaway. It’s a good 30 to 40 minutes away from the town center but that’s also what makes it a peaceful spot. The superior rooms are well worth the extra twenty bucks for the balcony with unobstructed lake view. The standard rooms face the opposite side with just a small window. Even though the building is old the rooms were clean and at least the interior was well kept. The balcony area (including the screen door) looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in decades being covered in spider webs. As the hotel is basically on the lake there are some good hiking paths right outside the hotel. There are no food options nearby other than the hotel restaurant which is about the only inconvenience along with the parking lot that is not connected to the hotel by elevators.
