Travelled to Port Elizabeth to support family in IronMan championships and only required a b&b establishment. The Algoa Bay B&B fitted the bill. Although 2 single rooms were booked we were allocated a two bedroom apartment with lounge and kitchen; absolutely perfect.
A few problems with plumbing which were quickly resolved but apart from that a comfortable and well appointed b&b. 
Ryan the owner and his staff could not have been more helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The ladies in the kitchen are to be congratulated on the tasty and substantial breakfast we were served each morning. Providing you will be happy to dine out for other meals this is the place to stay in Port Elizabeth.
P.S. it is the intention of the owner to convert to full board in the near future.

Welcoming

My Husband and I visited Port Elizabeth in August, we were welcomed by friendly and professional staff.
Our room was perfect, we were exhausted after our long journey so we were extremely pleased to get a good night's rest on a clean and comfortable bed and the bathroom was also very clean and we felt at home!
The breakfast was amazing and staff very helpful. 
One of the highlights is the location, it is close to the beach front and loads of entertainment (Casino,Movies, boardwalk, etc..)
We will definitely be booking here again on our next trip!

Perfect Location, comfortable and affordable

The place is very nice and friendly, we arrived late and you need a phone to call them because nobody is living there .
Rooms are very well furnished and clean. They have got microwave kettle coffee and tea. Bathrooms are clean and very big. 
Breakfast is ok! 

Nice stay

Even though it is old, the host keeps cleanThe breakfast is low level because the price is not expensiveuncomfortable by upper floor's noise

Very calm location

Stayed ones night. Location allowed us to take  time to enjoy this Cape.  Staff helpful by recommending things to see the next day on way to Cape Town.

Good location

Our general feedback would have to be DISAPPOINTED.Check in - (1) On check in, the booking company had our details incorrect (wrong name and wrong gender)We were very disappointed by the lack of maintenance to both the bedroom, and the bathroom. Bedroom - (1) The duvet inner was completely lumpy, as were most of the pillows on the bed. All could do with replacing. (2) There were no net curtains despite the fact that the room faced onto common property. (3) The curtain rings had come away from the curtains in some places. (4) The room had a safe but we were unable to use it as the establishment could not provide us with a key for the safe.(5) The armchair was dirty and a little threadbare. Bathroom - (1) Shower head was loose. (2) The soap dish in the shower was loose, and tilted downwards. (3) The shower door was difficult to close. (4) The tap at the basin was loose. (5) The soap dish at the basin was loose. (6) The toilet seat didn't fit the toilet properly. (7) We had to call for an extra towel on the first evening as there was only one towel provided initially.General - (1) There was a constant unpleasant smell in the room which appeared to emanate from the bathroom. (2) The WiFi only worked intermittently.

Disappointed

Made a late booking online and all was handles by Precilla very confidently and efficiently . .such friendly and helpful service too . .Many thanks . Will be back soon . .

Stunning service

Room we stayed in had no aircon as advertised, were promised fans which we never got, room smelt very mouldy. No LED tv as advertised, breakfast was lacking variety. Rooms were cleaned very late in the day which was inconvenient and towels were only changed after 3 days. Would not advise anyone to stay here. I will not stay here again.

Not a great place to stay

Our booking was not recorded on arrival but we were never the less accommodated. The room was simple, clean, comfortable and great for an overnight stay in a convenient location. The BnB was safe n secure with a lovely indoor pool and braai area.
