I stayed for a month but the only meal I used was breakfast and as I was paid by business, not sure about the price.
Beautiful garden.
Wifi good most of the time, but some days just not working!
Bathtub not good shape. Too many ants in bathroom. Rain leakage during rain. I would tell the manager instead of writing here if he/she approached me at least once during my one month!!!!!!!!
Breakfast very simple, no menu, just egg bacon and beef sausage. I asked for fish finger or chicken and just No!
They didn’t give me gate keys, so morning and evening had to wait till the guard notice me and open! 
In total don’t expect fancy or very good.

Oldest house/guesthouse of the area

Friendly staff, they loved animals, very helpful and accommodating! Very pretty garden.

The Kamberg suite had a terrible stench of stale cigarette smoke and the other room did not smell much better, the air conditioner was not working, no remote control. Hence we did not check-in to the establishment. Terrible experience and now we have to go the legal route to get refunded.

Rooms stink like stale cigarette smoke

My hubby and I flew from East London to attend a funeral.Found the accommodation comfortable being a large room, bath and shower and a nice breakfast. Situated fairly close to the airport without the hustle and bustle of being central. If we had to travel in that direction again we would definitely make use of the accommodation again

The Oldest House in Edenvale

Our room was right on the street. Very noisy. Dark. Not enough electrical points for working on and charging electronics. Ants. Dust. Broken door. Paint work needs to be done on windows. Nice bathroom however. Good hot shower good size. Breakfast was also good. Very dark place, I know its old but perhaps some sky lights would help. Dark colours on the walls do not help. Good coffee at least in dining room. A plunger and ground coffee was supplied along with all the usual cheap instant sachets. Staff tried very hard to rectify our complaints on the lack of electricity points, and not enough extention cords to assist. Carpet in room was filthy dirty as was the two seater couch. TV old box type so that was not good. Wifi available but not did go off in the evening, and we had to request them to reset it. Something about reaching their limit? or Telkom not stable?? Not good. 
Sorry guys, not up to standard, or overpriced for what is offered.

Average and overpriced

Negatives: The condition of the room in terms of maintenance is bad, walls, painting, not nice. Notice that there is no A.C, no heaters, so either you will freeze or be hot. In my case I've stayed for 4 night of about 7C, so I freezed. Towels need to be renovated and furniture such as sofa too (dirty). Cleaning is an issue. Rooms full of dead ants all over the room, the management is aware but acommodates guest there anyway, really unacceptable. 

Possitives: breakfast is ok, location not bad, bed is confortable, friendly personnal. Rooms are self catered, so sofa area and microwave, fridge, etc available separated from bed area.

There are things that should be reviewed by management, such as cleaning, painting and room climate options, while others need to be solved, such as ants issue and not accept nor acommodates guests till it's solved . Would not recommend at all.

Not really good, better options nearby for less price

We spent 2 nights here and had a very pleasant stay. Because we were a family travelling with my mom, we were all put in 1 big unit that could be separated by an inter-leading door if necessary. Our room was huge - with an even bigger bathroom and my mom's room was a good size with an adequate size bathroom. There was a kitchen in the middle of the two rooms. While the kitchen had the basics, it could have been better stocked in terms of a sharp knife, bottle opener etc. Each room also had an outside area where you could eat as there was no table in the unit itself. My mom's outdoor area was bigger, so we are there. Breakfast was delicious and was the usual cereal, yogurt, fruit salad as well as bacon, eggs, tomato, sausages etc. The staff were brilliant and any issues we had were very quickly sorted out. We were very happy here and would definitely recommend it to other travellers.

Great option for a short stay

A beautifully kept classic very old house (claimed to be the oldest in Edenvale) wooden floors and all, has been converted into a very acceptable guest house. Large suites are well appointed and comfortable and a satisfying breakfast. Reasonable rates make for good value.

Convenient and comfortable

Large establishment, with all the basics you need. Huge rooms, in the oldest house in Edenvale. Nice, well established area and quite surroundings. Close to main roads and shopping centres. Just a stone throw away from OR Tambo International airport.
