Welcome to the blue giant of Muizenburg. This hostel is the perfect place to stay if your coming for a surf trip. It has a super cool vibe with a mixture of private & dorm rooms also a cafe to meet up & have a coffee but the icing on the cake has to be the veranda with amazing sea views.

ROOMS
I stayed in the 7 bed dorm that had an en-suite bathroom. Now the great thing about this room was that one of the beds was set on a mezzanine area so it was like having your own room it was perfect. The rooms are clean & in good conditions it also had a sea view. 

COMMON AREAS
They actually have a few here from the cafe on the ground floor to the sand garden with sun loungers to what has to be my favourite area, the open veranda with amazing sea & mountain views its the perfect place to watch the sunrise. 

SERVICES 
From towel rental to help booking tours around the local area the reception has you covered. 

LOCATION
Located right next to the beach with all the bars, cafes & surf shops less than 2 mins walk away its the perfect place to stay.

From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed with kindness and warmth...
Stoked backpackers a place to be. With its energetic employees. Everyone felt like a friend! We even had Henry make sure we were safe when we went out!

Awesome, fantabulous and gagagatious!

I only could book a male dorm onlone- When I arrived I got a free upgrate for a family room for a few days and the other days I could stay in a female dorm.

I would highly recommend a stay at Stoked Backpackers. The location is excellent, right beside the beach, close to surf schools and a couple of nice restaurants. Our room was clean and accommodation felt very secure. Most of all, we really appreciated the warmth and kindness of the staff. Will definitely be recommending to friends.

Great meeting the different people in life..... and how they welcome you?

The place is very central near everything, train station, sea, there is also checkers supermarket nearby.  The kictchen is a little bit small but we were able to accommodate each other.  the stairs to the kitchen was a good exercise.  The staff was also very friendly.  the rooms were perfect clean with white linen and I mean white, beds were comfortable they also have bar fridges.  Free wifi and free coffee I will go back again.

Seaview perfect

very nice location. clean. confortable bed. Terrace is nice to socialize Downstairs dorm is a bit like you stay in the cave, anyway no big deal.

surf hostel

Can’t speak to the standard of the accommodation, but the cafe is very poor. As a vegetarian, I was super excited to see there was a veggie cafe in Muizenberg, but the menu was very disappointing (basically the sort of boring and basic veg stir fry with soy sauce/ sandwich/ nachos/ pasta/ coconut curry that people make as students). I placed an order but they were out of the ingredients for two of the things I wanted so I gave up and walked out. They massively need to raise their game.
