We stayed at Hostel Pirano as we were also diving with Piran Divers. So it was very handy for us in order to organize the dives with Kristjan, the Dive Instructor. However, we can also very recommend it if you're not into diving (but maybe want to try it?! ;-) but want to stay at a clean and well located place with simple comfort and definitely great service and the most charming host in town. :-) 

We very much enjoyed our time in Pirano and at the hostel; we stayed there for a week. Rooms have air con, shelves, a hanging rack for clothes, two small sideboards, a TV and a window, of course. We had a shared bathroom (we shared it with approx. 3 other guests, so there was never any hassle to wait. Besides, the bathrooms were very clean.) There's no breakfast offered, however, you get always invited to a fresh cup of coffee in the morning and bars/cafés/supermarket are just a few steps away. Also, it's like a three minute walk to Tartini Sq. and in about sixty seconds you are at the seaside.

Great location, great staff, good vibes and perfect starting point for a trip with "Piran Divers"

The receptionist ivanka was so kind and helpful, which by itself would be way enough for us to recommend this hostel.
But the rest is great as well, with spacious rooms (in piran's proportions) and shared bathrooms for max. 4 people.
We especially liked the location and the window to the street.
You get a lot for your money here and we would definitively recommend it over others fod this price. (we stayed in the double bed room on the first floor)

Charming and perfectly situated accommodation

This was mine and my wife's first time in this hostel. It is very clean and super friendly staff. room was up to date with good a/c and beds ware comfortable.  most of attractions are small walk away and and sea side is 2 min. I would highly recommend this place and we will most definitely be back again.

Cheap,clean and friendly

Great place close to Tartini square! The room had AC, LCD-tv and great WIFI. Parking was arranged within walking distance at Garazna hisa Arze (€12/24HRS) as the town is more or less car-free. The guy who met us was really helpful despite the fact that we arrived almost 45 minutes after when we said we would (we arrived at 2245 HRS)... On the third floor two rooms shared a bathroom and I'd really recommend this place as it gives great value has AC and is located really centrally!

The only thing I missed was the kitchen which is common in many hostels and thus being a meeting place for travellers.

Great place close to Tartini square!

The reason this is not a 5 star review, is simply because there was no parking near the hotel and there was a shared bathroom.
Still we did not have had any problems sharing the bathroom with our neighbors. There are also stairs up and down, so do not bring in too heavy luggage.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Good value

A cute, clean modern room that's brilliantly close to all in Piran. A comfortable bed with ample bedding and a warm shower with provided towels. The environment felt safe enough as a lone female traveller. Clear information on how to allow yourself into the property. As with the rest of Piran parking is outside of the town, there is a free shuttle into town.

The accomodation isn't a hostel, doesn't have a reception or a front desk so the information is slightly misleading (I'm not sure if some reviews on here are out of date, I booked via booking.com). This is a self-service apartment over three floors with 5 rooms. The self-service element requires the host (Jure) to collect tourist tax/information first thing in the morning (which there seems some pressure to do from authorities), this wasn't a problem for myself, but I heard a few disgruntled conversations with other occupants. In addition to this I had to help allow two other guests into the property as they had also assumed there would be a front desk and had therefore gotten confused with information sent. 

It's seems this continual confusion with coming and going guests has become a frustration for the host and this was apparent in conversations overheard.

Whilst the property is modern, it feels slightly as though this has been a fairly rushed job to create a business due to silly things e.g. the shower fitting is actually a bath fitting. However; the modern touch was lovely and it was extremely clean.

I think the property is a little pricey for what is essentially a room/rigmarole with checking in, for a bit more you can stay at a hotel.
