Centraly located on Mahe, close to the child friendly Au Cap beach and shops. Febrona (owner) is an excellent host and really makes you feel at home.
If you get up early, around 6:30am, you can see a spectacular sunrise, over the Indian Ocean.

Superb, central location on the east coast of Mahe.

The hosts were really accommodating, fast in their response times and went out of their way to help us, even including help with finding shops, dropping us off in out of the way places, etc. The breakfast, too was excellent and the location relative to the airport with great sea views etc was perfect.

Amazing hosts. We stayed with Harry and  Febrona for two nights and was overwhelmed by their level of service. We stayed in the top floor apartment which had a beautiful view of the ocean and bbq/patteo area. The apartment was equipped with all kitchen utilities, very fast WiFi and two beautiful, clean, air conditioned rooms. Out of the three islands we visited during our time in Seychelles, this was without a doubt the best place we stayed. A special thanks to Harry and his wife for being so attentive to our needs and for showing us round this beautiful island. We was made to feel part of their family & we will be back!

Amazing hosts

Everithing was good, comfortable rooms, helpful landlord, free WiFi and paper Map of the island, nice neighbourhood. I spent there wonderul time with my family, we got full servis what we need, parking was in the garden behind the gate. Because the room was free after check-out we were allowed to use it till the evening (cause of night flight) so we could have a shower before flight. Only small minus for small black sign plate by the main road. My status for next stay in the property - absolutely YES, recommend!

Amazing days in paradise

Our family of five stayed there for four nights. We had the ground floor apartment. The place was very clean and fully stocked with all the cooking and eating utensils we needed. It also has a washing machine that we found very useful. Whether we were eating or relaxing most times we sat outside on the patio where we were able to enjoy a refreshing breeze and the beauty of the surrounding garden. With a short walk to the side or up a flight of stairs we could get a panoramic view of the ocean. Our stay was made even more pleasant because of the wonderful hosts/owners of the property. Febrona was particularly helpful driving us to all the destinations we wanted to go - beaches, shopping, and sightseeing. She is very knowledgeable and took us to some spectacular and pristine beaches. The overall treatment we received from her was so great that it made us feel like we stayed with a family friend rather than at a rental property.

We will definitely go back there in the future.

Family Vacation - September, 2018

Very nice place. The owner is super friendly and very helpful, she lives next door and passes by from time to time to see if everything is ok. She gave us also a free baby cot. The only negative point is the position. The streets to arrive the accomodation are very very steep and small, neither easy to walk nor to go by car. However, the owner offered us to take us down to the shop/beach/bus stop and to pick us up later. But in the end we rented a car to be more flexible.

We stayed in May ,with my friend and my daughter. We have two rooms with good air conditioning. The kitchen was equipped with saucepans and kitchen utensil. There’s washing machine ,cooker and oven and microwave  plus the tall fridge with small freezer compartment. Febrona the owner who live next house was so friendly and accommodating. They have cleaner who clean the villa and it’s equipped with towels and large soap . You need to buy your cooking oil and essential. There shop on the bottom of the hill which you can buy your cooking essentials as well as your basic commodities. It is by the hill so walking up is hard. Hiring a car is essential and to see Mahe and nice attraction and the beaches . We’re lucky Febrona tour as around and take us shopping and to see the best beaches in Mahe.She even takes us  to the Disco . There’s a bus who pass by nearly 20 minutes to take you to Mahe the capital of Sychelles. It’s a small town with market and buying souvenirs. Eating out in Sychelles is expensive so I bought some powdered soup, some crisps and nuts and wine and liquor at London Heathrow,to  consume in Sychelles. You can buy  almost everything needed for every day cooking . Big fish sell by the beach in the afternoon , but you need to walk along to find those vendors. The villa consist of  accommodation upstairs and we are downstairs .its sorrounding with beautiful flowers and lemons and coconut and other vegetable tree like papaya.we went to beautiful place in beauvallon and comeback again by bus and stayed their in one night. The only thing was ants can be nuisance as it keeps going by the veranda.need to bring ants trap.Mosguito can also a problem being Sychelles a tropic climate , so we bought lots of  mosquitoes repellent from UK . The only thing was we miss going to two lovely islands.but we manage to go by boat along the Mahe and had bbq in one island hoping,arranged by Febrona. The only thing is you have to pay there  , I thought it’s been paid advanced through Expedia. Luckily I have  other credit card with me. The villa is near the airport,about 20 minutes.febrona the owner is so nice and helpful. 

Friendly and homely

The hosts Febrona and Harry are absolutely wonderful, the hospitality service & cleanliness of the accommodation could not be faulted. The communications prior to the stay in regard to questions we had concerning facilities and the local area was taken care of by Febrona. The apartments are set up in the hillside with a steep narrow drive with a concrete surface leading to the site.  The view of the ocean is beautiful with a panorama of trees, coconut palm trees and other exotic plants. Having ones own car is strongly advised otherwise it is a steep hot walk to and from the beach. However, if cost is a factor and you are young and fit, I would have been happy to go the beach on foot.
Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts, we felt part of the family during our wonderful stay. The bedrooms have air-conditioning. Last but not least the WIFI is very good, a great improvement on recent years when I have visited. Beware of a minority of the local drivers who are crazy & reckless with their driving and driving after dark is a hazard not worth taking with numerous cars with poorly adjusted headlights driving towards you making it impossible to see the road ahead.
In summary well recommended I shall visit again for sure

Great place wonderful view amongst the fruit bats

The East Horizon self catering guesthouse is run by a very personable land lady. She is very helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. She even allowed my mom (who was travelling with us and into gardening) to pluck plants from her own garden so mom can plant in her garden.                     The guesthouse itself is spacious, clean and well equipped in a great location close to beaches and not too far from airport.

Would recommend over and over

Fantastic place, owners are extremely kind and wellcoming, the accommodation cosy and clean with a beautiful ocean view if you book the upstairs apartment. You will feel like home. Tx to Febrona and Harry for making our holidays a magic moment!!
