This is an amazing f=small farm. You will get breakfast and dinner with all food coming from the farm. They have 2 cows, 2 pigs and many chickens. They make their own cheese, palinka, port, wine, everything that you eat. Eating lard with onion is a Romanian thing and we were able to try it here. 

The rooms are comfortable and some what traditional, just a wonderful place. I feed the cows!

Great Experience, scenery is amazing.

We spent two nights here and the stay was friendly and fabulous. The hosts could not do enough for us. The provided meals and home made wine were outstanding and the accommodation was up to date, clean and very functional. It was a great experience in a rural area. Highly recommended.

Want a Romanian Rural experience, this is it!

Breb has many places to stay, but we couldn't imagine a better place to stay. During our stay in Romania we stayed five different places and Pensiunea Lucia was the best. Iona and Lucia are gracious, generous, and wonderful hosts. The breakfasts and dinners were exceptional. I read the previous reviews, and agree with all the wonderful praise. The wifi was fast and excellent.

Warm Hospitality

First of all, the food was perfect.everything  from breakfast was homemade, pate, butter, egs, sausages, milk, basicly everything.The lunch and the dinner were at the same stanrards.You can’t stop eating.If I could describe the food in one word it would be TASTY.From here you can easily find the houses the prince Charles bought in Breb, and with an appointment you can visit them.The village is quiet and if you are here in a Sunday,in two minutes you can be at church where you can see a traditional Romanian ritual.

One of the best!

Delicious traditional Romanian homemade  food and  wine with very welcoming hosts. We had sour cabbage soup, main course of braised pork with mashed potatoes with a delicious gravy  accompanied by homemade plum and blueberry wine. Lastly homemade fruit cake and coffee. Wonderful experience not to be missed! A worthwhile drive.

Wonderful Romanian experience 

If someone wants to leave unique moments, being welcomed and make it feel like home, this is your location! In the good, old traditional hospitality from one of the oldest part of Romania - Maramures - Ms. Lucia and her daughter, Ioana will praise you and special guests, members of their family, will feed you beyond what you can "endure" before becoming fat and with treat you with the home-made "horinca" and their amazing "afinata" that no restaurant in the world can ever match. Ioana is one of the best guides you can find if you want to see the amazing places of Maramures and she will tell you how to reach unique points that are beyond beautiful. 
Thank you Ms. Lucia and Ioana for your hospitality and you can be sure we are planning to return for more in the future.

Feeling like home

Initially we planned on staying for one night here and continue with our holiday but after meeting with the owners and seeing the rooms, we decided to stay for two night. It was a great choice, the location is peacefully and nice, the owners are very friendly and always there to help. The food was amazing, I strongly recommend breakfast and dinner included. We left with a smile on our faces and with an amazing experience. I strongly recommend, you won't be disappointed. 

An amazing location 

We didn't sleep here, but when we visited Breb and we were looking for a place to drink a coffee we meet an old lady who invited us in the house for a coffee. The owner of the place Ms. Lucia made us a good coffee and we talked a little bit. It was a nice genuine experience.

Just a coffee..

Placed in a rural setting, tranquil, with very accommodating hosts, immaculately clean where dinner is served in a familial atmosphere due to the lack of restaurants in the area.  It gives an opportunity to experience how people live in the area. English is not necessarily spoken. The room for two in which we stayed, actually can easily fit three people. The shower is good and a good breakfast is provided. The only caveat is that if you are a light sleeper with sensitivity to light, the curtains do not keep the light out once daylight shines.  Also, if you stay on the top floor of the house, the ceiling is slanted, thus one has to watch one's head to avoid banging one's head. This would not be a problem for shorter people. Recommended.
