My partner and I had a lovely stay at this hostel. Breakfast was fab! The beds were great and the bathroom/facilities and kitchen were good too. Lovely staff, friendly, cosey vibe. Location was excellent. We didn't use any public transport other than metro from the airport - and from the station it was really quick and easy to find! We didn't stay long enough to enjoy any of the activities/tours offered, but I've no doubt these are fun too if they live up to the hostel itself. Thank you guys for a great stay!

great and lovely hostel! everybody who worked there was so friendly and helpful! it's ideal to get in contact with people visiting from all over the world, but it's totally fine if you wanna stay to yourself as well. Rarely got such a good breakfast in a hostel, was really delicious (they even had homemade marmelade). very easy furniture makes it look modern and make you feel at home as soon as you passed the entrance door, bathrooms were very clean and the staff had a great offer and knowledge for things to do in Lisbon. Location of the hostel was perfect to explore the city by walk. Bars, groceries, shops and sightseeing close by. I really recommend the free guided tour they offer both to Alfama & Bairro Alto, you get to know the city from a very nice perspective

Clean, friendly, great food, bikes, awesome location and lively without being kept up all night. Everything you want in a hostel!

Despite what the date says, I visited in March 2016 - great to see the standard has been maintained. 


Location, service, amenities

I fall in love with this hostel! The staffs are great, friendly and helpful. I don't have doubt that the hostel's location is the best in Lisbon, because you have an incredible sight in the front and in less than 5 min you are in the main street at bairro alto to drink beed and enjoy the night.

In my two year voyage around the world, Lookout Hostel will remain a gem in my heart. Not only the hostel was impeccable in any criteria important to you, they took the trouble to send my valuables at another hostel all the way in Greece for me to pick up. It's a Shut up, and take my money Hostel :)) See you soon !

5 stars isn't enough for this Hostel, 8 stars is appropriate :)

If you're looking for a relaxed, well-organized, relatively cheap hostel in a beautiful location, you will love this one. The rooms are spacious & clean, the beds are pretty comfortable. It's easy to get to know other travellers, because there is a different activity in the living room every night, and the atmosphere is just generally really nice. The staff is cool & friendly.
If you're interested in seeing the town of Sintra during your stay, and furthermore some incredible views of the mountains, cliffsides and the ocean, we'd definitely recommend booking the Sintra tour the hostel provides, which turned out to be one of our favorite experiences during our stay. The guide, Alex, took us there in a bright yellow hippie van, and was not only really knowledgeable about the area and the history, but also just great company in general. However, note that the tour is 30 euros, and entry into the Sintra park costs an additional 6.
