Very good
296 reviewsFor a long time I wanted to visit Krakow. This year I got the chance to do it. Since this was my first time visiting Krakow and Poland, I wanted to book a trip with a travel agency that would provide a tour guide, so I could visit everything that was supposed to be visited. After doing a bit of research I found the agency that had an option of staying in hotel Conrad. Out of all other agencies and hotels, this one looked the best. I then made my choice and I’m glad I wasn’t mistaken. Hotel Conrad is one of the best hotels I’ve been to in my life. The rooms were big and clean. Everything looked as if you were in a big luxurious apartment. Bathroom was also nice. You know that feeling after a long day of work and feeling tired you just can’t wait to get to your home, have a shower and go to sleep? This was it, the hotel room represented that home for me. Bed was super comfortable. Maybe the only thing that I wished for was a bit more comfy pillow. But that could be a personal preference of mine, it isn't like I couldn't sleep or that I slept badly. When you look at the map, you may feel as if the hotel isn’t really close to the center of the city, but it has a bus stop that’s 2-3 minutes walk from the hotel that connects you to a bus line (173) which leads you straight to the center of the city. Normally it takes 20-30 minutes to get to the center which wasn’t a problem for me and bus tickets for 1 hour drive converted from Polish currency to euros cost around ~1.5 euro which I found quite cheap. Also, in the vicinity of the hotel you have a big shopping mall called Galeria Bronowice, then a Lidl, KFC, McDonalds. Everything is very close to the hotel, up to 10 minutes of walk at the maximum. My stay was short, around 3 days and the day after I came, hotel staff asked if I needed my room cleaned. After one day there was no need for cleaning, but it’s super nice to know that they care about guests having clean rooms so much. That was a big plus for me. I would also like to say that hotel staff were mostly young people that were willing to help with whatever you ask for and answer all your questions. I appreciated that very much. It made me feel like I was more than welcome. In my booking, breakfast was included. Breakfast was excellent. There were a variety of things to try. I believe there was something to satisfy everyone’s needs. Eggs, sausages, a variety of breads, pastry, fruits, vegetables, yoghurts, milk, cheese, a variety of salads and also something sweet too like croissants, pancakes, etc. Whether you like something sweet or salty, I believe you will find something to your particular liking as there are many things to choose from. When I was visiting Krakow, the weather was very cold, so if I didn’t really want to go out for other meals like lunch and dinner I had an option inside of the hotel's restaurant to eat. A few times I took advantage of that option and all I can say is I wasn’t disappointed. The restaurant had tasty dishes and from the stuff I’ve tried out, there wasn’t a single thing I disliked. I tried their hamburger, pizza and traditional pork chop. Everything was really good! I’d also like to add that compared to some prices of the food I ate in the city (mostly in shopping malls), the food in the hotel’s restaurant was mostly cheaper, which is another good thing. And last but not least, while the hotel staff were super nice I would like to praise one person in particular. It is a person working in the restaurant named Filip or Philip (please excuse me, since I’m not sure if I spelled the name properly). He is an extremely good guy that answered all of my questions, made fantastic recommendations of dishes based on what I like to eat and was just a great person to be accompanied with. He told me many things about Krakow and Poland in general and made sure I felt like I’m at home. I’m glad I had a chance to speak to him and learn something new, he made my stay more enjoyable. That’s it for my review. I loved Krakow, I plan to visit it again and when I do, I’ll be sure to stay in hotel Conrad again. Good job Conrad, all the recommendations to you! 😊
