It's a non-smoking hotel yet the room smells like cigarettes. They didn't check if the water heater is working (which is a necessity given the climate and that they acknowledged that we have a young toddler with us) There were also a lot of mosquitos and no proper ventilation. The basement parking is ok, the staff is strict yet polite and accommodating. I should've listened to the other person who reviewed this before. The Korean breakfast is not ideal - it's too spicy for young kids. They ran out of coffee too early. They transferred us to the 1st F (from 3F) where there are double locks.

Not for a family with young kids

We booked for a 4 adult pax in a room which is a comfortable size. It was value for money and it was beside McDonald. In our whole stay at the hotel, we did not find any free wifi. The hotel has ample parking spaces at the basement which was a plus. However, we found 2 cockroaches in the room. The room has no writing or vanity table. Full size mirror and bidet would be nice to have. The pool was well maintained and cleaned every morning though there were some flooding along the walkway leading to the pool which are quite slippery. Overall, I would rate it average for a weekend stay.

Average for a Weekend Stay

We stayed during the Valentine 2019 weekend (Thursday to Sunday). Our room was described as "lakeview" (Deluxe 2, 2nd floor), and indeed it was but only partially as there were trees that blocked the part of the lake with Taal volcano. The location is convenient in terms of having an unlimited Korean restaurant in the same hotel, a McDonald's in the adjacent lot, and a 7/11 across the McDonald's. Ihawan Republic restaurant is also within walking distance (they have great food). Two things caught my attention the most. First was the cleanliness. I'm practically a diagnostic tool for aircon dust (I ALWAYS sneeze in a room with dirty aircon). Our room never made me sneeze at all! I also walked around barefoot and my feet didn't become dirty (they provided bedroom slippers which I did not wear initially). Second was the very efficient housekeeping team. There were four of them and they made-up our room in about 5 minutes.

Overall, I would book this hotel again if there was a promo.

Clean and convenient partial-volcano-view hotel

The hotel has perfect view of taal volcano. Great accomadating staff. Maan from the Front desk. Room was good enough for a weekend stay for the family, good rates as well. The breafast food fair enough 😊

Weekend staycation

Our first attempts to book in the hotels we really wanted to stay in was unsuccessful because of the holiday long weekend so we ended up staying here for a couple of nights. The online photos looked promising and the idea that they had a pool plus their rooms had big beds suited our family's needs. Unfortunately, there were too many negative aspects to ignore. 

The balcony they mentioned was a shared balcony so you can see and hear the people next door when you are both in it. Smoking was unregulated amongst guest. The lobby was crowded and noisy as it was the location of a korean restaurant which played music up to 10pm. Toiletries were at a minimum. Internet signal was zero unless you go out to the balcony. The building isn't properly soundproofed so you can hear it when people are moving in the hallway or when furniture was being moved from above.

These could have been negligible had they not charged a steep rate. I could imagine the place gets better when its not fully booked but I really wouldn't recommend this to family guests. This place is best suited as a couples or friends destination but definitely not for families. A silver lining throughout our stay was the friendly staff who really did their best to make our stay pleasant, but unfortunately the hotel management need to improve a lot of things firsts. 

We enjoyed Tagaytay and its many restaurants and destinations, we just wished we stayed in a different hotel. It was too bad, it's my first negative review on TripAdvisor

Not Ideal for a Family

Good Breakfast.Clean room.Choose rooms with Windows to have a breathtaking view of Taal.Good location which has a Mcdonalds beside.Very nice swimming pool.with billiards,pingpong table,darts.will definitely come back and recommend to family and friends.
