Booked here to celebrate anniversary, great place to relax,beautiful scenery and accommodating staffs. they help us to a get a boat just for 2 to explore the gallera's ocean in affordable rate. beware that the hotel is quite far from the beach night life. you can rent a motorbike to have your way there. 500/24 hours.

Relaxing

We stayed here for a couple of nights. We were not informed by the owner prior to our arrival that there's no water in the resort. Hence, the caretakers delivered buckets of water for showering and flushing the toilet. Imagine that mess! Secondly, there were power interruptions during the day. So, prepare to sweat out in a fan room with a fan that's not working. Also, the complimentary breakfast was much to be desired and limited. Oily sunny side-up eggs, toast, hotdog and orange juice. That's it.

This resort has potential since it's in the quiet part of town but just a motorbike ride to Sabang. That potential will probably not be realized since the owner only cares about getting your money. No restaurant, no wifi, no housekeeping! You might as well go camping! Avoid at all cost then!

No water, no electricity

Beware this establishment has no restaurant. This establishment has no bar. The local manager tried to charge 800 for a scooter when 500 is the usual rate in town. If you cancel they charge you 500 for courtesy boat back to the port. If you want to go to town the boat is 500 per day.
Do not mix this place up with other hotels woith similar names.

Total misrepresentation on common booking sites

A nice place to relax and the scenery is picturesque but if you're into an activity and planning to explore the beauty of Puerto Galera, you should not stay here. First, it is far from any restaurants, no available food in the resort itself. You should buy raw foods in the Muelle Port then go back to the resort and let them cook it. Second, the caretaker did not entertain us well, even the extra bedding was not provided. Third, the room is not that clean. There are lots of "bokbok" falling on our bed. The "duyan" is unstable. Fourth, we experienced several brownouts and we are not aware of that. They did not inform us that brownouts are normal in their place and we should expect it to happen. Fifth, it is far from the white beach on which you can find lots of water activities such as Snorkeling, Kayaking, Jet Skis, Banana Boats, Sailing, Swimming, Wind Surfing. Also the famous fire dancing during the night can be watched only at the White beach. We traveled almost 30 minutes from the resort to the white beach.

BUT IF YOU ARE A NATURE LOVER AND JUST WANT TO RELAX YOU WILL SURELY LOVE THIS RESORT.

NOT SO GOOD FOR A WANDERLUST

We stayed at Bamboo beach resort and the place is so serene, perfect for a relaxing vacation.

Owners are very nice and accommodating. Offered us a day tour at Bucana Beach just accross the resort and luckily we owned the beach to ourselves that day!

The Sleepy Side of Galera

Family-run resort with Dennis the manager ensuring everything runs smoothly. Breakfast included in the price and the omelettes are tasty and filling. Ask for fresh milk for tea and it will be supplied. Rooms at the back are bigger but you get some kitchen noise which you get used to. A great budget choice compared with rival places.
