Very clean family run small hotel if only a few rooms. Looks like it was recently renovated. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. Hotel is a short 5 minute walk to the center of town, Plaza de Armas.

Good clean hotel

This property is situated near the base of a mountain, every morning when I opened my door I had a breathtaking view. The staff was always available and always more than happy to help by giving suggestions for the area or recommendations. They even helped me when I had another issue with my travel plans. Breakfast was included and they even accommodated all my food restrictions.  The walls were a little thin, but I always bring earplugs so it didn’t really bother me. The only thing that could’ve been better was the water situation. I had trouble getting hot water in my shower, it was only lukewarm and I had to notify the staff before I showered so they could turn on the gas.

Hotel unfortunately had an over booking however swiftly found me alternative accommodation and also told me i could go back to their hostal for breakfast which was fantastic. Great overall service. Thank you for rectifying the issue

Great service and fantastic breakfast

This place is one of the best we had in Peru for the price, new place, friendly people that still try make your stay the best, and a true American breakfast, 3 great options from eggs over easy to pancake, etc...3 min walk from the main centre. And 15 min walk to the train station, we returned safely at the hotel from our Michu Picchu visit at Midnight and still were greeted with a smile. Note.  This is my first review ever.

We spent 3 nights,

Attractive hotel, good breakfast. Unfortunately the rooms in the front were noisy.   The king size bed was only a full size bed. The water in the shower never was hot.

Sergio, the hotelier was terrific, very helpful and knowledgeable, friendly and spoke English well. Owned a terrific restaurant in another part of Ollantaytambo. Big, modern bathroom, comfortable, warm beds.

A very nice Peruvian family runs this adorable bed and breakfast. The amentities, including the bathroom, are very modern and the breakfast is delicious. You will have the best of both worlds, staying in a traditional/small town while enjoying updated accommodations at an affordable price. The hotel also arranged a pickup for me at the airport in Cusco! Very convenient!

Great place!

We returned to Ollantaytambo to collect our backpacks that we left at our hostal after Machu Picchu. Unfortunately the hostal was full so we had to find another place and I stumbled here. The young girl showed me a room, 1 double + 1 twin bed with private bathroom, even had a window that opened to the pedestrian street below, at a good price. We originally booked for 2 nights but stayed 3. Very good hot water shower, TV, good wifi. Breakfast included (bread, jam and coffee or tea, even had eggs at 1 time) 
They also have a tienda next door.
You can even book transport directly at the hostal for Hidro Electrica.
Over all great place, comfortable beds and pillows, and most of all pleasant hosts (young girl, mother and father)

Big rooms, comfortable beds, good price, nice hosts

I spent a month in Peru staying in budget places, and Hostal Kiswar was the best place I stayed. The room and bathroom were modern and super clean, the location was perfect, and the family super friendly. The Internet was consistent and fast enough that I skyped with my husband back home every night. And the shower actually had hot water. It was by far the best value for the money of any place I stayed in Peru!

Beautiful hotel, great location

We consider ourselves lucky to have stumbled upon Kiswar Hostal. It is a short walk from the plaza, and we found it as we were exploring the quiet ancient cobbled streets of the town. We had only planned to stay in Ollantaytambo two nights, but added a third because we were so comfortable and happy at this hostel. Our room was large and very clean with a big tub/shower and plenty of hot water. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well in this quiet location. Good WiFi and television, too. The best part, though, is the delightful family that owns and operates the hostel, it’s attached convenience store, and affiliated taxi/tour services. Herlinda and Jesus live in the same building along with their children and are on hand at all times for any questions or assistance. We enjoyed playing with their two pet dogs, listening to the singing of their pet birds, and watching the hummingbirds that come to feed on the abundant flowers in their well-tended and tranquil garden. For a small additional fee we were able to have a simple and delicious breakfast there each morning. The day we checked out, we needed to get to Cusco and hoped to visit Maras and Moray on the way. Jesus drove us and provided us with excellent guide services, taking us on scenic routes and to some lesser-known sites as well. He is a very safe driver and he delivered us directly to our hotel in Cusco — all for a very reasonable price. It was a wonderful experience in every way and we can recommend this business without hesitation. We would gladly stay there again.
